I got on consecutive matches w/ players being afk. No matter how often I report, i see them again and again, across several days!
If you want bad behavior to go away, prove to the community you are doing something about it!

Reporting does nothing in this game. It's just a rage button Bungie puts in there to help people reduce anger by thinking they did something. Nobody ever gets banned from this game unless they set someone's Xbox on fire.

1 ReplyEdited by Golden: 8/23/2019 7:09:31 PMHeres exactly what happens. This is totally 100% true. True as my wife. Wait.
You report someone let's say for Cheating. Bungie employees look at the report, print it out, wipe their ass with that report and throws it into the trash, then ban you for coming on the forums for wanting something done about said Cheater
2 RepliesReport flags the person you reported for further analysis by bungie's SRT team. It's not like it will automatically ban or suspend anyone based on the number of reports. They probably have detection mechanisms built in which take into account player reports, amongst other data they have available.

Reports build up/draw attention to a player. When one player seems to have a very large number of people having issues with them, or destiny’s detection software finds something suspicious, it’s brought to the team for investigation. From there, appropriate actions are taken if they are justifiable.

1 ReplyThey can’t. Even when a “nonja” locks a thread, they admit that if there’s any doubt (which there always is) then nothing can be done- something something something. The whole Bungie infrastructure has issues, I expect nothing more

1 ReplyIn game? Nothing. I just ignore cheaters...especially in quickplay. Imagine what types of pathetic you gotta be to cheat through an evening of quickplay matches? Imagine that guys life? You think his mom and dad are proud of him?
-
You're not supposed to match with them again. Did you leave the lobby and try to join a new one?
-
It works just takes alot of them to warrant concern. Its a paper trail based one not an immediate investigation like mobas and blizzard games.
