You could get an SSD, but with the price of the console, maintaining an internet subscription (Which is a total scam anyways) and an SSD, you could just build an efficient PC that doesn't add any financial stress after building it. Except like once a year or every two years.

This thread has turned into a console vs PC rant. I switched up to consoles years ago because I got tired of constantly upgrading the hardware to keep up with software. It's still the case now.

Edited by EmryX: 8/23/2019 2:54:45 PMI have Destiny 2 on PC on an SSD, it's slightly better yes, but still not great considering the game design of Destiny ask us to jump to planet to planet and we face a lot of loading screen. For example : - Starting creating a new weapon with the Black Armory - Making progress on the same planet where Izanagi forge is. - Go to Ada-1 to validate the quest. - Go to the planet where Izanagi forge is, and forge your weapon. WHY
-
Designed to keep you playing longer, making Bungie look competent But only ends up exacerbating the misery that is the Black Armoury/Annual Pass
-
And i'm sure the netcode is bad too, aside from the loading time.

Edited by Krantzstone: 8/23/2019 2:38:08 PMWell, as a former PC gamer with a fully capable gaming PC currently sitting beside my Xbone... I'd still rather not deal with a myriad +1 driver errors and driver compatibility issues every time I load up a game. :P It's one of the main reasons I switched to console, but I'm starting to regret it. ;P And yes, it has a Samsung SSD. ;P

My brother is currently considering a PC. I say that at this current time it's not worth it. PS5 is supposedly coming out next year with hardware that will most likely match a decent gaming PC anyway and it'll be cheaper too.

Edited by Knavenformed: 8/23/2019 12:40:03 PMEhh I don't know man, the pricepoint is rumored to be stupid high. I have a 7 year old PC by now and I've used what, 970€ on it? Two consoles already pass that with subscriptions by along shot. Also your brother may not know what it's like to pay bills, you pay for your internet and a game, but Sony and Microsoft force you to pay and additional bill so you can access both things that you already paid for. So that money adds up in the long term really fast. Also "free games" is not an argument when you have to pay monthly to access those too.

And besides, my monthly subscription is only like £6 a month, barely a scratch to my monthly wage. It doesnt really bother me. I usually wait for a bit before I buy things, because everything is stupidly overpriced when first released. Usually I'd wait till sometime after Christmas where the pre xmas deals are on. I would hate to blow £800 on a PC if I've already got a console anyway. I bought my first car for that much (although it wasnt the greatest) but I got to places further than a PC would XD
