Unfortunately the only way to remove an account is by being able to log in during the unlinking process. If you have tried working with Sony to recover it there isn’t much that can be done.
Alternatively you could use a new Bungie profile and leave that account linked to the old one. If you choose this method please know that any redeemed items such as codes for emblems etc will remain on the Bungie profile they were redeemed on. If the inaccessible account is the only remaining account on that profile, there is no way to log back in and relink accounts. It may be worth it to leave another authentication method tied to the account if you choose this method.

First off, I don’t want to abandon an 8 year old bungie.net account because PlayStation can’t confirm that I am who I say I am. There should be some way for bungie to unlink the account without having to fully sign in. I just changed the password on the PlayStation account again, but without owning a PlayStation, I don’t have a way to remove 2 factor authentication...and im not buying a PlayStation just to fix this

This also messes with my ability to setup cross save, since you need to authenticate each account tied to your bungie account. Right now I have no need to cross save, but if I move to PC in the future then this would be a problem
