I have seen several threads asking for hunter knives to be OHK, only to be immediately spammed by titans saying it would be overpowered. Lets clarify something first, I don't want all knives to OHK I just want the knife on sharpshooter to be a OHK on a headshot.
Now, lets look at why it is not unreasonable.
1: hunters are the only class without OHK ability potential
2: warlock and titan already have the possibility for ranged one shot abilities
3: titans have a total of 4 abilities that can one shot.
So, tell me (with whole sentences and arguments that make some sort of sense) why it is so unreasonable for hunters to have a single OHK ability on a perk tree that is otherwise completely obsolete.
EDIT 1: how about it's tuned so it can kill depending on resilience value of the target. for instance, if you hit a full health person with low resilience in the head it kills them, if they have high resilience they just go to low health.
EDIT 2: I would also be okay with the uppercut (at least the base of it) being a OHK, as it requires the same (if not more) thresholds as shoulder charge.

26 RepliesAs a hunter main, no. It is a huge issue. Hunters gave multiple ways of getting their melee back for essentially free and a throwing knife essentially has no risk involved with it like the titan and warlock abilities currently do. It would be a nightmare. That meta would he the worst one we've ever had. Only change that needs to come to the throwing knife is maybe a slight damage buff and definitely a hitbox adjustment. Sometimes a titan runs off with a unicorn horn that was apparently not a precision hit. Funny, but not very helpful.
