We should bring back where we slam the banner into the ground. The highest light person (or however it was in D1) should:
1) have their clan banner with their seasonal banner staff, or
2) have the banner of their respective team, If they aren't in a clan (Bravo, Alpha)
This would be a change we could all agree on. And would just look cool anyway.
Edit: I like to see that most people think the same.
Edit 2: Trending! sorta. Thanks for all the feedback everyone! although, yeah the person with the banner probably shouldn't be up there for something related to PVE, but I think MOST people get the idea. This would be a cool thing for everyone, and hopefully wouldn't be a bother to OTHER people.

3 RepliesThat was cool, but content is hard and the developers need rest.

Please and thank you.

My boy always thought it was cool, "Dad! You're in the front. You have the banner. That means you're the best!" Haha I always figured it was just random, but I let him think what he wanted on that one.

I absolutely agree. Nothing is more bland than seeing your guardian casually walk on. Really miss that d1 air spawn into the flag slam. Was one of my absolute favorite things about crucible. It really showed who deserved to hold the flag, through skill and or light level, a mentor to the rest it would seem (unless you were playing trials).

3 RepliesThere are so many things that are now kind of standard in pvp games - Play of the game - MVP score - First person Death Camera - Observer mode - *DEDICATED SERVERS*
-
I missed this so much, I don't like always seeing myself at the front.
-
Can we have the part where... A: I fly into a match, B: Slam my banner down, C: Get killed instantly, D: Match ends There should be a Triumph for that 😆
-
I loved slamming the banner. It was such a cool moment when I looked up and lo and behold my guardian was slamming the banner!!!! One of my favorite memories
-
I miss the flag plant so much. The stare-down and the model-pose aren't even half as cool.
-
i loved holding the banner because it told the whole team who was the mvp

Edited by Darknorth: 8/20/2019 6:42:17 PMAw man I enjoyed this! Everybody got to see their spot universally. It was so much cooler when you finally get to hold the banner. Not sure why they removed it however....
-
Please. I miss this so much

Edited by Sm0keytrip0d: 8/20/2019 6:48:29 PMI would also settle for Guardians to be in a triangle formation with everyone using an emote like how trials showed everyone emoting one after the other but you know just altogether and not one by one. Or have the highest Light guy/girl at the front holding the banner and everyone emote behind them, like I know i might never be the highest light in a game but if I am I would love to see 5 other people floss dancing or something behind me lol. basically just utilise emotes more since the up on the dpad emote (on console, dunno about PC) says it's used in certain activities or whatever but it's just not anymore.

Edited by parallelish: 8/21/2019 8:31:15 PMlike the idea but, if full fire team is made up of members of the same clan then first clan leader should post the clan banner, if not present then an admin, if no admins present then most senior member. and i would keep it as you the player being up front with the alpha or bravo banner in all other instances i.e. everyones opening would be different in that they are always the one with the banner.
-
I remember the first time my character slammed the banner in D1, proud moment and good times :D
-
That would be dope
-
That's not the only thing I want back from D1 PvP.
-
2 RepliesYes please. I'm sick of always being in the front
-
3 RepliesI don't think the banner holder should be tied to something that is often quicker to acquire through PvE, but rather something that is tied to more PvP related accomplishments.
-
1 ReplyAre there any NEW maps or are they once again only "giving" us back maps we already had?
-
Highest light, or if everyone is equal light, highest grimoire (I believe) was how d1 was. For d2 it could be highest triumph score or something.

PHATT UPVOTE

In D1, it was Light for sure. Each of the positions were based on highest to lowest. Now they just put every player, client-side, front and center. Because everyone deserves to feel like a snowflake.

3 Replies' CLASH ............. ALPHA TEAM ' screamed Shaxx

3 RepliesI’m pretty sure it was based on your elo in d1 but not 100%
-
I'm more worried about them actually balancing teams. Not starting it 6v4. And switching the way heavy spawns. It either needs to go back to d1 way or at least spawn in diffrent spots around the map not the same capable spot over and over and over again.
