The jade rabbit catalyst grind is absolute BS on these small maps

Jade Rabbit is one of my favourite guns in crucible. You just have to get used to the gun and it's good trust me.

Jade & polaris (aka better jade imo) is reaaaaly good dude. Takes a minute. Definitely have to adjust your play-style. Totally doable though. Source: I main polaris lance and solo’d to recluse & currently working on lunas/revoker

The more I played with in the better I got. Obviously certain maps are better.

It was actually really easy, took me like 1 day, not even grinding whole day. I find Vigilence Wing a lot harder...it’s taking forever.

It was easy.. hip fire when ppl close the gap. Hang back and don't rush. Watch lanes...

Idk, I really enjoyed it. The each map has at least 1 or 2 lanes that the gun is amazing in and works amazing when paired with a fusion or sidearm. Paired mine with my anonymous autumn and would get about 20 kills per match with it. Spent 2 evenings on it and got it knocked out without an issue. For me, the most annoying one definitely has to be Sturm’s. (Requires original drang and original drang Kills.) The rest are pretty easy to get done with either using during daily/weekly activities or in other quests.

1 ReplyI’ve never used jade rabbit (I need to because I do have the catalyst). I’ve believe is actually quite popular in the crucible. Not used as much as pulses and hand cannons, but I’ve seen quite a few people use it in the crucible. Maybe try to stay in the back of a firefight with your allies and the enemy and pick them off from a distance?

It's especially bad because we have to fight against hand cannons that have 50x more range than they should. A Trust with explosive rounds can outrange just about anything, outside of sniper/max high impact scout range. It's pathetic.

I know what you mean. Works better on some maps than others. I just accepted that progress on that catalyst wasn't going to be consistent. Don't let it get to you.

Ikr. Some games it felts great. Others awful. Just do it slowly, big map use jade, tiny map don't.

I've had the catalyst for about a year now and it will never get completed.

Just pray for equinox and vostock, pair it with erentil for your short to medium engagements.

It's a pretty good gun just stick in there.

Trust me, it's worth the grind. Thing doesn't move when masterworked.

but once you get the larger maps you can easily knock out 30+ kills with the thing at a distance. I would just prime people with a secondary and clean them up with Jade when they got too close.

It's actually a very good scout rifle, good for covering most mid/long range lanes. The problem is that it's one of the only good scout rifles, and it's exotic.
