Edit: people don’t seem to understand that these are Luke Smith’s words, not mine. I’m not wildly speculating here... he flat out says that they neglected pvp on purpose because it’s going free to play. If you hate pvp then just think about everything in pve that’s been neglected. Think critically about the bigger picture and Bungie’s attitude. Don’t just read “pvp” and crap your pants.
We now know why crucible was left to die... Bungie purposely neglected it because it wasn’t going to be part of the Shadowkeep package that they could sell to people. It’s free to play in October.
This sucks.
I know that this is a business decision and money is important, blah blah blah, BUT - this was a giant “F U” to the players who bought your game.
Pvp wasn’t free for us and we deserve better.
This, coupled with the Eververse power creep (which needs a nerf far more than our guardians), really shows me what your priorities are, and it sucks.

I don't think that's the reason why. I think Bungie is super lazy and didn't know how to fix crucible so they just left it alone. Either way though it's messed up how they have not touched crucible since forsaken. It would be nice if from time to time they would just fix things and make things better without them having to stick to some bull shit schedule. For example it would be cool if one day you would log in and there would just be 1-2 new pvp maps. Or a new strike or a few new guns or new public events added into the game that were never announced several months in advance. Just add stuff to the game Bungie. Just add it in whenever. People would love it.
