PvP is an add-on for what should be primarily be a PvE game.
Find something to do with your life other than queueing up for your 5000th meaningless quickplay match.

Considering Bungie made HALO, I think expecting a fantastic PvP is completely justified.

Edited by piratepatchy243: 8/20/2019 9:34:12 AMLol, PvE is a mindless boring drag though so really what's the difference?
-
Honestly, Destiny PVE is so bad that I've started playing PVP. At least in PVP theres a challenge.
-
Or...you could leave each to his own. Who are you to say your preferences are the only ones that matter? PvP has been in destiny for the same amount of time as pve. They are both halves to the game...and we even have activity that is BOTH.
-
Yes, an activity that EVERYBODY hates. Lmao...
-
You must get punished in PvP... lol.
-
Edited by Lull9: 8/18/2019 2:37:45 AMI've played about 1/3 as many matches as you, almost identical KD and I have Mountaintop. You don't... lol.
-
So...you have mountaintop and still call PvP an add-on? Ok
-
Yes. It's almost like I'm totally capable of playing PvP but still have the opinion that it's trashy and causes problems for the rest of the game. Weird.
-
Oh okay, I'll just queue up to my meaningless strikes then
-
At least with PvP, it's a different match every time. Different people play with different loadouts, playstyles, and strats on each map. Strikes are the same ads, in the same place, with the same difficulty every time.
-
Ha ha ha Hilarious Different loadout, different strats Have you played recently?
-
Literally what I'm trying to say. But OP thinks that killing mindless drones is less mindless than PvP
-
Not to mention the enhancement cores from resetting legend valor alone are more rewarding than strikes, I've gotten 90 cores this season alone from those. And if you just play ib that's pretty much a free reset a month, so eventhat alone is more rewarding within a season.
-
I saw a guy in just the last couple of days that had about 6500 quickplay matches. Never seen anyone with anywhere close to as many strikes. Funny thing is that people complain they don't update Crucible. They don't need to. All the kids that get all off on "owning" people in PvP will play no matter what.
-
Who? Me? :-D
-
The funny thing is, pve-only and pvp-only players are the minority...most of us enjoy all of it.
-
Well see you'll never see that manh strikes cause Strikes are useless.
-
As is Crucible. People just don't have the gross "PvP is life" obsession with strikes.
-
I mean if people have 6500 games played compared to the minuscule numbers of PvE stuff, then PvP must be meaningful
-
No, it just means that they have a fixation with whatever "high" they're chasing playing Crucible. 90% of the time you're playing Crucible for the same caliber of (garbage) "rewards" as strikes for about the same time put in. There is no reason to play Crucible obsessively unless you're a PvP junkie.
-
I mean most people I know play crucible just for fun. I know crazy, people do that.
-
Edited by Lull9: 8/18/2019 1:56:44 AMThat's perfectly fine. But why is it so much "fun" to mostly fight over the middle of the same maps with most people using cookie-cutter loadouts? Because of that "high" of making a good play... but it's still a pretty stupid activity to play to extreme levels of repetitiveness. My only issue is that people act like OMG it's PvP!!! It gets pretty much as dumb and algorithmic as patrol.
-
Why is it fun? Because your not facing the same mindless dreg 50 times that moves left, shoots for a second, moves right. Sure loadouts are boring, but it is fun to outplay differnet skilled people and mess around with loadouts that you have never done before.
-
Edited by Lull9: 8/18/2019 2:26:13 AMThe majority of people running hand cannon/shotgun/Wardcliff seem pretty much like mindless dregs to me.
