Comp is full of crutch weapons
Seriously bungie, how has the PvP gotten [i]worse[/i] since year one? At least back then there was variety; Antiope-D, Better Devils, Uriel's Gift, Mida Multi-Tool, Hero's Burden, Vigilance Wing, and many more I'm probably missing (note only 2 exotics). We're coming into year 3 and the list of viable PvP weapons has been reduced to just 2; lord of wolves and jotunn. can you guys either please figure out how to balance this game's PvP, or stop associating so many quests with it?

Why do you think D2Y1 was hated by the PvP community. Skilled shined and bad players were exposed.

6 RepliesAre you serious? There was absolutely no variety in year 1. There's a lot more options now. Snipers are good, Shotguns are good, bows are good, pulse rifles are good, even sidearms! Auto rifles and scouts need some love, but overall there's a lot of weapons you can use. And those 2 weapons you mentioned are shit now. Very very easy to counter.

2 RepliesYup you’re right, Jotuun is the best gun in the game. It needs to be flat out removed rather than nerfed. It’s so hard to take 3 steps and avoid, I don’t know how people do it.

I never know that Jotunn was a crutch weapon. Wow. It's totally not like you can just strafe/jump to the side to completely dodge the projectile, but whatever m8.

2 RepliesLeft out quite a few weapons, I seem to face in crucible, way more than the 2 you listed. Lunas Not Forgottens Entrils Revokers Blast Furnaces Go figures Bygones Dusty blues Wish benders Le Monarch Gazes Colonies Mountain tops Recluses That's pretty good diversity, imo. Need to see some more scouts and auto rifle love, but definitely better than when it was nothing but shotguns and Graviton Lances in the first part of D2Y1.

And there was Laser Tag week. Then Warmind gave us Graviton Lance. That’s it. Graviton Lance. Nothing but Graviton Lance. More variety my ass. And NOBODY used Hand Cannons except on PC, and even then they used Dire Promise, not Better Devils. Edit: you’re on PC. Makes some sense why you’d include HCs.

Also, Snipers, Shotguns, Fusion Rifles, Pulse Rifles, Hand Cannons, SMGs, Grenade Launchers and Machine Guns. Literally all of these are represented in Crucible right now. Most importantly, how are you dying to Lord of Wolves? That thing practically disappeared from all of my lobbies immediately after the nerf
