Pvp curiosity

Are bothered about ur kills over death ratio

Hell no. Victory is all i ask.

Out of curiousity, How many people tend to think about how good they r in pvp? Cause i love doing pvp. Im not great like Trials great but i always thought i was decent. I go suros regime or braytech winter wolf with telesto or Trust and hammerhead or sword in pvp. In D1 it was Hakkons hatchet, saladins vigil and sword. I have my off game sometimes. And quite often get put with a bad team . but i also get some really good games with a lot of kills than deaths. I think sometimes the k/d is a unfair summary. Cause i just looked for first time in over a year and saw that ive been killed more than ive killed others. I know im not the best. But still i never thought i died more than ive killed. Sometimes i wish there was a reset button

  • I like pushing and going for big plays, this is not conducive to a good KD, but when I do pull of those big plays, it is like a drug and makes me remember why I play. Who cares about a number, have fun!

  • PvP is just for lols. There is zero incentive to win outside of comp. I just play for bagging and funky plays Don't care about kd or winning tbh If I really cared I would have far better stats, as I'm always bagging to get hate mail and goofing around trying crazy plays.

  • I don't care about K/D ever. Unless you're a pro gamer making money and expected to perform well, it makes absolutely no difference. Now, with that being said, I'm an adult over 40. The things I look at to measure success are much different than to someone who is 13. To which I say, if you're in that age group and take pride in your PvP skills, that's great. Take that attitude to your GPA and you'll be on to a good start. (Total dad advice I know) Winning, I only care about in Competitive where the Glory of everyone on the team can be affected. Quickplay, I'm usually only there for a few bounties, or just to shoot some damn Guardians. Winning is a nice bonus, but I'm not there to be at the top of the scoreboard.

  • I like to keep my KD over 1 but I also like to try out loadouts that sound interesting to me. So there's kinda a balance but as I get older it matters less.

  • I don't check my stats in D2 like I did in D1. Mainly I checked them because I was way under 1.0 kd. I got better and better to where my kd was around 1.25 towards the end of D1. Stats don't mean a thing really in this game. It's only a game. They don't get you a raise at work. They don't get you more sex. They don't do anything but entertain little kids who think they are badass but actually they aren't. I play crucible for the fun I get out of it. Yes I go positive most games and occasionally have a really great game but those ones are far and few. I will say that I don't enjoy the crucible in D2 nearly as much as D1. Some of it's the weapons. I'm more pulse rifle or scout rifle type person. The maps are the main thing. They are boring and repetitive. I miss maps like Cauldron or First Light. Twilight Gap and Widow's Court are another two. Every once and awhile I go through my YouTube videos from D1 and realize those were some fun days.

    • I just play to have fun. I don't care about winning (unless it's comp and I'm not there often) and I don't care about my k/d. I very sparsly play crucible and when I do I perform fairly well. I enjoy using wishender, sometimes I don't miss with that thing! I hate playing PVP with people because of how mad everybody gets. not to say I don't get frustrated sometimes, but hearing "HOW DID THAT KILL ME WTF" "HE SHOT ME THROUGH A WALL" etc on every single death is far too annoying

    • K/d is really a metric of someones ability to stay alive than it is to kill lots of people. And with essentially random matchmaking it is quite hard to properly gauge your skill level. If your not worried about it then keep on keeping on.

I just care about winning. I'm sometimes top of my team, but with a 1.0 efficiency (I tend to rush too much. I hate shotguns). As long as I slay, I don't mind. Ocassional outplays are awesome though
