( Expanding on this view) it's more so game design which is at fault but it's also the community at fault and I'll explain these two things later. what he's trying to say right now is that well of radiance and super powerful meta gear sets are used solely to beat things like raids. because people are becoming accustomed to using the same things all the time the game will get stale. Getting into Bungie now: For the sake of tradition they made black hammer again pre Nerf. They for whatever reason had a misguided thought process on why this kind of gun should be made again. Perhaps they remade it to make people swoon. remember at the time curse of Osiris was a really bad expansion and there was a huge drought window of content. With warmind coming in they did not want that to happen again. Well of radiance is a cool super and they thought it was better than I self reviving warlock. It is better than d1s sunsinger by far. Look at what the super does. you need to understand that now it makes the players break the rules of engagement and just sit in one spot and DPS something down. The Community I feel has the ability to go into a coma....Did we not complain about bullet sponges and uninteresting boss encounters? Yet we're all going to sit in a well shooting at bullet sponges? Because that's fun right? Remember this though: what looks good on paper may not necessarily be good in practice. On to the community [b][i]as a whole[/i][/b]: Because we've become so accustomed to using the same gear sets we now want to 1 phase every boss and we were choosing specific Supers and specific gear sets and if we don't get that from the people we party up with we don't work with them. It creates a toxic environment and you'll get people super annoyed talking about how they're capable of holding their own but they don't understand why people need to 1 phase everything. Datto is not saying anything that no one knows about. The game is too easy and it is trivialised because of what we can do. I wouldn't take this one with a grain of salt. I play harder games than Destiny. This game can grow and become something better than what it is. Easy does not equal fun. Hard does not equal fun. Challenge equals fun. the community will sit here and say Nerf XYZ and then have the nerve to complain about no variety. If you Nerf weapons in the name of balance then you take things out of the pool for people to use. Balance everything and you risk all weapons losing their identity. people are so caught up in their feelings when they start posting in anger and frustration that they don't realize that bungie looks at these things and takes them to a degree of seriousness. How many people on this forum do you think can make it an intelligible argument? In my experience here on the forms I haven't seen very many. This is why people look to streamers because people like datto can do this. Glad, esoterickk, aztecross, byf, Mylen games, are pretty popular and if they say something about the game and Bungie sees that more million-plus people agree with it then they're going to say that generally they have a valid and reliable statement. you may not agree with 1% of what they're saying but that doesn't mean that whatever they're saying is not agreeable or untrue. and if you're not subscribed to them you have to do your best to bring up your points that you would brought to light. Let's take your original post as an example. Your issue here is that you're complaining that people are listening to one streamer. what ideas specifically is he saying that you don't agree with? That's not what you're supposed to do. Sure you not going to agree with nerfs but then what are your suggestions that you're bringing to the table? What things can be altered? You need to think.
