Crutch gear and weapons
Why do we under power things like snipers, 140 and 110 hand cannons, scouts, etc... but allow fusions (aka jotün and erintel), shotguns, one eye mask, etc... to resonate for so long in the sandbox among lower tier players that it's all you see them using. I'm a higher tier player and want to be able to go one game where the less skilled player cant just automatically compete with me bc he chooses to crutch a one eye mask fusion set up. This kind of toxic 'use this and you're immediately better at the game' style of weapons and gear has been a problem since d1. And needs to be addressed.

People said the same things about MIDA Uriels, same thing about Graviton Lance, same thing about D1 snipers, it never stops. There’s always going to be a meta, there will always be people who think people who use meta are scrubs with no thumbs, etc. You don’t want to use meta, go ahead. I’m partial to Hush with Oathkeepers and TLW (on console mind you) But there’s always going to be weapons with low skill floors. Been that way since 007 on the N64.

1 ReplyYou are not kidding I can’t tell you how many payers I have ran up against that simply use jotun because it’s a one hit kill weapon. I prefer to play against others that want to compete with primaries something that does not kill you in one shot...

2 RepliesI’m a scrub and using meta weapons allows me to at least compete against players of your skill level. I’m still gonna suck just not as bad. Maybe look at it from the other end of the spectrum.
