And why exactly 250k? why not 300, 500, 1m?.
I'd like to know the reasoning behind this.. i mean it's just glimmer.. it can't break the game to have it uncapped right?.

2 Replies141 million credits sitting in Warframe, meanwhile.

I have a thing for amassing useless currencies in videogames so hearing "no glimmer cap" kinda makes me tingle inside.

1 Reply*whispers so bungie won't hear* You pull specific vehicles from your collection that dismantle for almost as much. May sound useless but then you store them into the vault and you have glimmer whenever you need.
Platinum sterling, Zavala authority and otherside are some very nice vehicles by the way!
1 ReplyBecause bungle want us to grind over n over to boost the time players play stats. 250k sounds decent, but in reality, with all the mods for armour, weapons ect, that 250k is once again going to run dry very quickly. And see players having to grind away in order to build them up, along with grinding for the new economy items for upgrading gear.

Same reason you have a limit on vault space.... Memory.

Edited by Tomfoolery: 8/15/2019 10:03:42 PM1 year down the line when people have 200 mil would you want infusion to match that or keep the cap and keep infusion the way it is.
-
3 RepliesIf you get rid of the glimmer cap, then after a little bit of hoarding, glimmer would become irrelevant. I don't think it's a good idea to just pull something out of the economy like that.
-
They knew their game will be glitchy, so to prevent the glimmer economy from breaking they put that cap.
-
You see they also blew 100k in level energy of gear from 5 to 10

1 Replyi still scratch my head about this one, since most well wait all other games have no caps. siege as long as you keep making renown you can have infinite amount, grand theft auto same and many other games. it's not like glimmer is all that ground breaking if you let us have infinite amount of glimmer.
-
1 ReplyBungie can only count to 250k
-
1 ReplyTo make you grind for infusion material

1 ReplyI agree with your post, not sure why it didn’t just go to 1,000,000. My worry with this announced increase is that the glimmer cost of things will go up (bounties, infusing, etc.) and that will make this increase in glimmer cap not mean much. Call it Destiny inflation.

1 ReplyAll I'm saying is having no cap will lead to either inflation or a new currency being made off everything

Honestly.

Bump.
