He is live right now. Donate $20 and ask him if the opinions in his videos are his own opinion or a representative opinion of all players. Put your money where your mouth is.
Truly. It is amazing that you can't wrap your head around what a representative is.
Yeah it would suck for you to lose $20 and be proven wrong in front of all your fellow Dittos. Datto is not a representative. He is a content creator. Now smash that like button so the algorithm gives people looking at Destiny videos Datto videos because that’s the only purpose it has. It’s not actually a vote for the opinion of the video to represent your opinion.
The question is not worth $20, and I don't need to spend it to answer a question I already know the answer to. Then why are the dislikes there? Heck, why are they called "likes"? Probably because people, you know, liked it. I'll spell this out as clear as I can. - Datto voices his own opinions - Many people with their own opinions agree and subscribe, and like his videos. -Because thousands of people agree with him and like his content, Bungie looks at him becaise thousands of people agree and like his content. - This is how representatives work in politics. Someone voices their opinion, then people vote based on that opinion. - That person who the community elects is the representative
They are called “likes” because social media uses psychological programming to gather the information they want. Pay attention here: LIKES ON A YOUTUBE VIDEO ARE MEANINGLESS. There isn’t any link between content creators and elected representatives in government. There isn’t an in-game vote where players select a representative to speak to Bungie on their behalf. Instead we have a system where players can post their opinion on the game individually on the forum. Bungie uses content creators to market the game because the content generated by videos and streams markets their game for free. Luke used Datto’s video to get buy in on his premise from Datto fans. It has the opposite effect as well.

We both know that Well is not getting nerfed soley because of Datto, right?

It’s basic social media psychology. Maybe you think human minds and rockets are the same thing, but they aren’t. It is a completely different science based on the human mind. That’s not a vote. A vote would be an in-game vote for players to speak to Bungie on their behalf. That would be a vote. I know it’s getting nerfed because of a mistake of the designers. I know it’s their fault. The nerf isn’t the subject of the discussion.

You brought up the Well, not me.
