I mean, what a guy posts at his channel is just his/her opinion. Just like any other thread in this forum and it should be considered in that way.
If bungie's criteria is based on what these people say.... that is very dumb from Bungie. Honestly.
The fact he/she has xxxx followers does NOT mean they all are thinking in the same way than him/her.

LOL, man you guys complain mindlessly w/o even considering anything and any facts. All Warlock mains are sick and tired of running Well for all activities beside Strikes. and if you think Shooting 20 grenades with MT in 3 seconds is balanced, then you ppl need to get your shits sorted out.
-
I must say posts like this have been a fascinating insight into how easily people follow the crowd. The targeted attacks of datto just shows how little people know, and how much they're willing to go after who they think is the bad guy. It's kinda sad really "A person is smart, people are dumb, panicky dangerous animals" -Agent K
-
I would definitely say that a streamers voice holds the weight of the majority of his subscriber base. If you dont agree with them you wouldn't follow them for the most part.
-
Its really not like that all, if you stopped sooking like a child, you’d realise that it was a smart decision. And since this is obviously in reference to datto everything he said was true and benefits the game overall.

Edited by ramthesocket: 8/15/2019 10:00:39 AMI don’t particularly care for content creators opinions when I know fully that most fluff, or do what’s best for their channel. While they’ve gotta get their revenue somehow, I don’t like those 10:30 videos which can be summarised in around 2 minutes. With that aside, I don’t think the nerf was exactly uncalled for. I don’t even think we know any specifics on what’ll be nerfed about it. I’m not going to do the whole it made encounters too easy argument, but instead WoR literally made Titans redundant. Warlocks do everything our rally barricade can do, but more! That being said it is with an exotic equipped, but it’s not like Titans have many good options when it comes to ability exotics. The only way I’ll disagree with the nerf is if it goes too far.
-
I cant believe its lasted this long. I said months ago WoR is the best super in destiny history. I'm interested to see what they do with it.
-
Safe to say, Well, Luna factions and Titan barricade are getting overhauled.
-
Bungie didn’t make the decision based on Datto
-
Edited by PilksUK: 8/15/2019 10:17:46 AMIf you talking about WoR then sorry as a more casual player the first thing I said when Forsaken came out and my friend got WoR was that it just makes all encounters trivial and breaks the games already fragile balance... and well its just gotten worse since then.. and having to make encounters based around having someone with WoR is a sign of something being broken.. as that forces people to play a certain way which is not good game design. Now they can change the WoR so its not OP like now without a major nerf simply stop empower from stacking and add a -dmg% penalty when standing in the WoR this way there is pro's and cons for standing in it, we managed in year 1 without it we can manage with a less potent version.
-
I’m down for harder raids, also that nerf to well was much deserved. Theses changes might actually bring me back to raiding again! I can’t wait
-
Edited by murkypondwater: 8/15/2019 10:40:04 AMExcept Datto was right, and the change was not one that could’ve been made in the, what, day or two between Dattos video and Smith’s post? It was likely an idea long before Datto said anything
-
I mean, well of radiance does have a 100% pick rate in virtually every endgame PvE activity...
-
They’re giving us weapons of light. That would’ve been OP af with well of radiance.

This is the world we live in now, publishers are in a position to drop half baked, unfinished, buggy garbage, this is the curse of live service games. Before we go blaming streamers remember this we also are just as complicit, we spent our money, we accepted the way things were, we were are just as bad the streamers that get too much say, we subscribe to them and stroke their egos with sycophantic posts and likes, and worst of all, there are thousands of morons ready to jump in and defend publishers even in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary that the games are ok. Fallout 76, Anthem, Division 2, are good examples, the Division 2 was hailed the new messiah but even it is dead on its arse atm, even Destiny and Destiny 2 were bad at launch, I went along for the ride with vanilla because it was their first attempt, you expected mistakes to be made and made the choice to stick with them because you saw and hoped what the final result would be. Vanilla got there, it still had flaws but for the most part it was good, then came Destiny 2... 4 years of learning, building, and balancing experience, and what happened? They hired more people ignored everything they had learned and dropped less of a game, how is that even possible? I don't know but they pulled it off, the joke was Destiny 2 was more like Destiny 1.5, that was straight up wrong, it was regression and a step backwards we went from Destiny 1.0 to Destiny 0.5. Lets not forget a lot of streamers just ploughed on like everything was golden and plenty of players went along with them to, we are as much to blame as they are. I love the core mechanics of Destiny, the gun play is nice and tight, even if the aim assist is way to much, and it just feels good, but after Shadowkeep and Destiny 2 wraps up and we look at the release of Destiny 3 and the inevitable hype that will follow, and the streamers who help the hype, that will be it for me, I have other game types that I enjoy and have more than enough to fill my time that I put aside for gaming, will I miss Destiny? Of course I will I've had hours of fun and made some great friends but enough is enough, I've spent a lot of money on Vanilla and D2 and as much fun as I've had it will it always be tempered by the cost and how much value I put on it against what the game has given me, the fact I can't tell myself it was worth it against what I spent is telling enough. Remember this, we can hate on streamers as much as we like but who doesn't envy them, a free lunch and the chance to play games and get paid, that's like any serious gamers dream, and for every streamer that grows a pair and calls it like it is and suffers because of it, there are thousands waiting to take their place, publishers now spend as much if not more money on promotion and advertising then they do on developing a title, why is this? If you can't answer this question then you are the problem. Streamers I can live without them but I do enjoy some of the content they put out, but ultimately we share the blame as well, streamers may get the hype train up to top speed and enjoy a free ride in 1st class, but back in Economy the paying passengers riding the hype train are us, regular gamers. TLDR: We're just as complicit as streamers, they couldn't exist without us, it doesn't take a genius to understand why things are they way they are.
-
All I can see is us going back to vanilla at this point. Just remove everything fun bungie it's what you do best. Also tell that dev to take her smelly feet off the table.
-
You all support streamers by watching them, talking about them...giving them that power. If you stop, they'll go away and get jobs.
-
Post some examples of streamers asking for nerf on X weapon/exotic/whatever. This is just vague.
-
The OP is 100% correct here. If Bungle is over-indexing the opinions of content creators who’re mostly only concerned with their own self-interest then that’s on them. For instant, Streamer-D said yesterday that bringing back Weapons of Light was a mistake because HE didn’t wanna “have” to be a “Bubble Bot”. A few days earlier, Streamer-S said he didn’t like certain weapons and abilities in the Crucible because they would stop his 3-kill streams from turning into 4 or more killstreaks. In the end, these guys don’t care if the endgame community hasn’t grown or the Crucible drives people away from D2 this fall, it’s only about them since they have to run more raids or Crucible matches (by their own choosing) than large segments of the community.
-
Edited by Delta: 8/14/2019 9:56:45 PMDatto - Titan Bubble makes the game too easy. You stand in a Bubble, you dont really move and you have a weapon buff. This needs to be looked at.
-
Well we could nerf Datto by getting people to unsub from him lol.
-
Did you actually WATCH that stream? Did you see them actually trying to PLAY the game they create? They were freaking HORRIBLE!! It looked like they were using their Big Toes to control their guardians!! It’s no surprise they seek the input of a streamer 🤣🤣🤣 Hell, isn’t one of them actually MARRIED to a streamer?? That “Ms. 5000 Watts” or whatever the hell her name is??
-
Happend in other games to often to count. Its ok if the dev's incorporate feedback into buffs/nerfs but its awful when they do it soley on feedback. What games need in this regard are dev's with balls of steel who think about feedback but make descisions based mostly on data.
-
Not really. Things need tweaking as the game evolves and items/ combinations become OP.

-
Wait... Datto and Lukey Boy says The Well is over powered, but Bungie is bringing back the original D1Titan bubble into D2???
-
I get tired of people thinking they speak for everyone else, like OP. I just voice my opinion and dont necessarily assume that everyone thinks like me.
