The D2 community is beyond toxic.
Was grinding for the 100 mini boss kills for my second set of solstice armour. Two guys left (obviously not realising you could farm a mini boss) so I was on my own farming for a while until 2 more guardians joined. They watched what I was doing (for a couple of minutes or so), having the 3 cabal bosses up and farming the engineer. They then proceeded to kill both the remaining bosses then teabagged me and sat there not even helping with the final reward chests.
Why? What is the point in playing this game if you're just going to be a scumbag and ruin everyone else's experience?
There has been hundreds of times where stuff like this has happened and it's just a joke.
The community in D1 was never this bad. If your sole purpose in this game is to ruin people's fun, just please stay out. Go play call of duty or some sh!t.

Edit: the first two left not because they were going for chests but left immediately after the timer ran out, not waiting for the final bosses to spawn, so I'm guessing the didn't need to farm or just didn't want to.
Also farming the engineer is definitely not a cheese.

I think it's a bit more dysfunctional instead of actually toxic. Example on Twitter and Reddit you're are strictly banned from having a different opinion on the game you can't point out a majority of problems without getting attacked those groups are more of the toxic ones. Here there's actually some small hold outs that do express that opposite view alongside the boring person who just throws insults instead of actually trying to discuss anything. Then you have the part of the playerbase that stands behind Youtubers and Streamers no matter how bad the game is they will say it's fine and there are no problems. We all want the game to actually be good but the majority isn't willing to accept basic problems and discuss them.

This is just a subculture, don't let a couple fools get you down. They're venting their frustrations in unhealthy ways because they haven't learned any better. Lots of other people are nice and don't do this.

the reason why it worked so well in D1 was the loot at the end was still worth it even if you were just there for a bounty or something else.

If I can make a suggestion see if 2 friends can do the farm with you. It prevents toxic people from joining that’s what me and 2 friends did. People can’t be toxic if there not there.

This game just attracts the lowest quality gamers possible for some reason. Just sad pathetic losers who are in unhappy marriages or relationships at dead end jobs with annoying brat kids that only have 1-2 hours free time that like to get on here and ruin other ppls fun. Or leet try hards that feel like anyone who does not have 3 750LL characters isn't even worth being in the same lobby as they are. (Just to name a few types of a holes that play this game)

8 RepliesYou admit to "farming the engineer," you're screwing others by doing that. The event objectives are awful as they promote this kind of thing but you're the guilty party in this situation. Why should they wait for you to farm 100 kills which stops their progress just to satisfy you.

And I already have the solstice armor done on the only character I am doing it with and the MMXIX title. Didn’t benefit me at all but didn’t want to be a douchebag like the guys you played with.

He could have cleared the bosses but then what, try and collect all chest by himself? Even if he was doing the killing of the engineer (which isnt cheesing the game drops them every 45 seconds) they could have at least help out with the chest. Yall just some 🤡🤡🤡

4 Repliesyou were doing a cheese and farming by yourself in a group activity. if anything they could make the argument that you were being toxic and not playing the game as it was meant to be played and you weren't helping with the actual objective which added to their time especially since they got loaded in with you at the very end of the event.

On one hand, that was a shitty thing for them to do. A decent person would've backed out and left you to it. I did that a few times, but just sat in a corner until I got booted in case the next person to join was a dick who kills the bosses. I got my armor, so giving someone time to progress theirs is nothing to me. On the other, if your intent was to farm solo, you should've expected to get the chests solo as well. You can't be mad about that.

6 RepliesHonestly, I have the power on my Hunter to delete all three bosses in about a minute on my own. that's One-Two Handshake for you. Before today, if you're standing between me and the boxes I need to get rerolls before the event ends, I'm going to ruin your farming with a few punches and the occasional shotgun blast. But I'm not going to hate you or myself for it. This rift in the playerbase of wanting different things from the activity is because of the way the quest was initially designed, which is absolutely Bungie's fault. I can't blame you for trying to get through the system efficiently. But T-bagging on you and not even helping with the chest chase is just rude. It's one thing if they come in and melt the bosses and go about finding the chests, but this is just... rude, plain and simple. [i]hopefully it won't be an issue anymore with the update that just rolled out[/i]
