I no longer main Burst Glide since season 4. I found Strafe Glide to be the best for both maneuverability and recovery. Burst is only good for the initial activation of the glide, but other than that, it's terrible as a reliable jump. In PvP, however, speed is not a bad thing and I find that burst glide to be more beneficial there.
Strafe and balanced were very, very slow in Destiny 1 and you lost a lot of speed and momentum, but in D2, they are faster and do not hinder your speed very much.

Jumps not too bad...its the god awful physics. Jump whilst at the edge of something fly backwards. Bounce off stuff, hit the ledge and the grab mechanic doesnt work... its endless. It's more noticeable with the lock jump.
I have seen warlocks jumping from across the map at light speed killing 3+ mini bosses in around 1 minute. Just gotta know the areas and best places to jump to get that speed boost.
I have more trouble with my hunter, bouncing my head off all sorts of things, warlock and titan are fairly easy to scale the buildings and to stay on top of them
I used the 1st type jump and can jump to highest point of the map (the boss on the tower at the middle of the map) so easy, i think i can get to that point better than 2 other class. What's your problem ?
