Because LMGs do the same job....better.
Its the same problem that exotic primaries from Destiny 2 all face. They aren't powerful enough to warrant using up your exotic slot on them.
All the D2 exotic primaries either need an overhaul....or they need to be turned into pinnacle legendaries. Otherwise they'll just continue to gather dust. Why would I ever carry Sweet Business when I can carry Bad Juju or Outbreak Perfected?

Not entirely true. MIDA is still useful for PvP. But that’s honestly about it. But there are so many better options in my opinion. No what’s truly sad is the Cuboid ARu auto rifle is a beast compared to most primary exotics. You’d never expect a rare to out perform an exotic.

I'm speaking mainly about PVE. Exotic primaries do have more of a viable role in PVP.
