Amazingly unbalanced PvP
I suck at pvp, not hard, but I suck indeed. Am not writing this thinking, "Oh ill do better if they just fix this thing." Its just so obviously broken, their is no balance between classes (or subclasses), supers, and definitely no weapon balance. And if you want to honestly stop the complaining, either balance things or give a PvE path for everything. This hybrid thing youve made is just tiring.

throw grenades in primary and secondary slot, unbalanced recluse, super infinite almost immortal, heavy excess ammo! are the biggest problems of pvp.

It's possible it's not that you 'suck', but that your opponents are cheating. I don't step foot in Comp because of all the drophacking, lag switching, and DDoSing going on. I mean, it happens in QP on occasion too, but not nearly as often as in Comp, and I don't care if I get disconnected from QP since there's no penalty. https://www.gamerevolution.com/news/355113-bungies-response-destiny-2s-ddos-attacks-angered-community Note: when they took away Trials, all the cheaters and sweaties migrated to Competitive, which explains all the cheating going on in Comp.

It's never going to be balanced. It can't be, there are too many variables. The only way to do it is have a separate mode/play list that has fixed gear and no supers. Why Destiny players would even want that, boggles my mind, but whatever. You can get that now by playing Fornite or Call of Duty.

Crucible will never be balanced. Not even since day one. The closest way to do that is to make each weapon have the same rolls. No more RNG on perks. Make them static like the exotics.

They really don’t need the pinnacle weapons to slay. They can easily tap you with a bygones or blast furnace. They could map you with a austringer. It LITERALLY doesn’t matter what they use. They will always be better then you. They don’t need pinnacle weapons to kill effectively. The people who pay recoveries for not forgotten, realize that this SINGLE weapon STILL does not make them any better, so they give up on the crucible anyway. Does everyone understand. Nerfing weapons and armor won’t make ANYONE better. There will always be something that more skilled players can use to decimate your team with. There will always be a meta. Face the facts people. You will never beat them, no matter how many nerfs happen in game. If the crucible is really so bad, why on earth do you even bother playing it. Powerful rewards? Is these rewards really worth the obvious trouble or strain. I really don’t think so... If EVERY SINGLE PERSON who hates the crucible stopped playing it, then we would see more action taken by bungie due to sweats only playing with other sweats + the crucible population being astoundingly low. To be honest though, I believe the only way to really balence the crucible is for every single weapon in this game to essentially be horrible to play with in the crucible. And guess what everyone, we are headed in that direction! All weapons TTK will be 8 seconds or we go back to double primary. I would have to wonder if anyone would be left playing this game at that point...

After several bouts of high explosive gamer rage, I finally deleted all crucible pinnacle quests, all Crucible pursuits, all Iron Banner pursuits, and for good measure sharded my Titan's Telesto and One-Eyed Mask (the backbone of his PvP loadout, just so I won't be tempted to try it anymore). And I hope that if I am ever STUPID enough to set foot in the stinking Crucible ever again, someone will have the decency to beat me to death with my own PS4. Better to deal with the humiliation of being a 3900-hour Destiny player without a title, than to spend any more time in the Crucible. I might be absolute crap at this game, but I don't need my nose rubbed in it every 30 seconds.

Weapon wise this is some of the most balanced pvp destiny has had Supers are definitely a bit much though

Edited by michael: 8/13/2019 3:58:48 PMCrucible is more balanced now than it has been in a long time. Shotguns, snipers, and even fusions all have their place in the meta. Hand cannons are very good but pulses are equally as strong, and autos aren’t great but high impact auto rifles like Halfdan and Gahlran’s right hand are definitely usable. I have used them and had surprising success. Scouts like like Jade rabbit, Mida, and No feelings are good on maps with bigger lanes. SMGs are pretty good, with antiope and recluse being meta weapons. The only gun type that is genuinely bad is sidearms. In terms of class balance it is pretty good. Hunters have middle and bottom arcstrider, and of course spectral blades. Titans have top sentinel and obviously bottom striker. Warlocks have bottom dawnblade, with top or bottom storm and nova warp being pretty strong as well. All classes have a good spread of strong exotics. Compare this to late year 1 when it was literally just vigilance wing + last hope/ikelos smg or grav lance + antiope on bottom arcstriders with wormhusk. Early year 1 when it was anything that could teamshot.

1 ReplyYes, there is a serious balance issue. I will wait to see the Shadowkeep PvP patch notes. Unless they get their shit together and start play-testing PvP, provide frequent balance patches, I will stop playing. And they really need to start looking at PvP and PvE balance separately, or they will never have a content majority in the playerbase. I suggest you do not bash yourself in forum posts (e.g. "I suck at PvP"). The forum mob will do it for you free if they don't like what you say.

I like the variety of things we need to do to unlock exotics or these grindy events. I'd rather not just play pve only.
