Which one to you guys is the better sniper? Here are my long-winded thoughts.

Beloved or Revoker, this is something I think before every match of crucible and to be honest it usually boils down to which primary I want to use, seeing how revoker is a kinetic sniper and beloved is a energy sniper, your options for primary can never be the same for both snipers.
Starting with revoker. Its main unique perk, Reversal of Fortune. Missing a shot returns the bullet to the magazine after a short duration. I’ve found this perk to be actually quite useful myself while I’ve seen others say it’s useless. It encourages you to take the shot, not to worry about missing so I tend to take more shots than I usually would with the wild chance that it’ll connect. Some make the argument that the perk rewards you for missing shots which is nonsensical. And to an extent I get that argument, but overall it just allows you a bit more freedom in taking shots. The best thing about it might be that the scope is the ambush from destiny 1 which is a very low zoom scope. Lower zoom scopes in destiny have always been better and personally I think this scope is the best in the game right now. The fact that it’s high impact is something I also like about it, being that it can do massive damage to roaming supers, and it can body shot a regular guardian when they’ve taken even just a little damage. The biggest downside for me is that this gun is a kinetic. I love using ace of spades, last word, or any other kinetic primaries when I snipe, so with this being a kinetic it throws a little bit of a wrench in how I prefer to play.
Now let’s talk about beloved, the gun that’s often compared to the ldr from destiny 1 and other destiny 1 snipers. For that reason beloved, seems to be the most popular of these 2 snipers. Beloved is a 90 rpm sniper rifle with extremely good stats, having the best range, stability, and aim assistance in it’s archetype. Without a doubt this is my favorite sniper in that 90rpm category. Using this sniper reminds me of sniping in destiny 1 which I believe destiny 1 far better than destiny 2’s sniping up to this point. Beloved feels like the thousand yard stare, the ldr, the longbow synthesis. All these incredible snipers from d1 and that’s really all the sets this gun apart from other for me. It’s nothing too analytical about the gun, although the stats are great, it’s really just the feel of the gun. It feels great to use, it’s a great for anyone trying to get into sniping, and for the experienced players it’s a great sniper to use. This was how the thousand yard stare was in d1. You could describe these guns in the same way. But is this gun better than revoker?
I think Beloved is great, and it being an energy weapon, fits my playstyle much better than revoker does, however. Other than it being kinetic, Revoker is in my opinion the better sniper, and the one I prefer to use. I acquired these guns around the same time and I’d say I use them almost equally, but I almost always enjoy using revoker more than I do beloved. I get this is probably an unpopular opinion on these snipers but hey, I tend to have a lot of unpopular opinions, haha.

2 RepliesAs of right now the Beloved can 1 Shot Full Supers with Box Breathing. Revoker cannot.(Yet.) The Revoker need to have QuickDraw instead of Snapshot. If memory serves me correctly Ambush has some Snapshot built into it. QuickDraw would intrinsically add +35/40 Handling to it I just hate the way it feels like I’m carrying around a cinder block. Besides LDR has always been my favorite sniper since D1. God do I miss ShortGaze...
