Don’t listen to “Say no to Rage”
Nerfing well will not fix anything but cause more strife
Edit: Original intent of this post was aimed at Bungie seeing it, so we don’t get another reckoning issue

6 RepliesRage is almost as bad a person as Datto. Both are trash people. Calling for nerfs is wrong. Nerfs make the game less fun. But they hate Warlocks anyway so what do they care. I hate people like them. If the games to easy stop using Well. We need better boss mechanics. And better Content creators.

Just because a streamer has a good idea doesn’t make that idea invalid you muppets. Well is the only thing warlocks can use in endgame content, to the point that it’s wayyy worse than d1 bubble. The best solution would be to design raid encounters better, since most encounters now are “stand still and DPS”, but well in general is insane and needs tuning

3 RepliesFan of Lono's....but I'm actually going to have to agree with you on this one. He's off-base on this one....and don't even get me started on Datto. Well of Radiance isn't overpowered. It IS overused, because Bungie has fallen into a DESIGN rut...where basically every raid boss is the same basic fight over and over again. 1. Satisfy a mechanic to get to the damage phase. 2. Stand in one place. 3. Face-tank damage from surrounding adds. 4. DUMP as much damage as possible into the boss until the phase is over. 5. Rinse and Repeat. ...as long as Bungie keeps presenting us with different versions of that same problem over and over and over again.....supers that buff the damage resistance and dealing of the whole team are always going to be the best solution. Whether its Well of Radiance in Destiny 2. Or Blessions of Light/Ward of Dawn in Destiny 1. The solution to build variety is not to nerf Well of Radiance....but to be more creative in their fight design so that the same builds aren't always the best answere. Because here's what's going to happen if they nerfe Well: People will stick with the same solutions....and you'll just BREAK any variety in team comp. People will just run with multiple warlocks and start STACKING Wells. And you'll just hop out of the frying pan and into the fire.

8 RepliesI find myself more on the side of improving Boss fights and mechanics. I mean, it could be as easy as requing every fireteam member to stand at a different location to activate and maintain damage phase. Or something along those lines. Force the separation of the group. Think outside the Well, er, box. I feel like every issue and cheese that has come about really boils down to poor Boss or damage phase design.

Whisper died for this to become obvious. Reckoning is lucky to even get fixed, but you can't do this for everything, honestly, just let that crap be. It is what it is, Bungie's attitude change needs to be seen in the future, not focused on making the past harder for nothing but irritation since challenge will not be created no matter what they try.

D1 VoG - do mechanic. Stand in place shoot boss - no issue Crota - stand still. shoot boss. Do mechanic - no issue Kings fall - do mechanic. Stand in place. Shoot boss - no issue WotM - do mechanic. Stand in place. Shoot/sword boss - no issue But suddenly a couple of streamers want more views and this toxic community needs to agree with them? Any of you sheep agreeing with streamers are what’s wrong with this game When the game dies, you’ll wonder why and then blame bungie. But it will be you that is to blame Oh also, agreeing with streamers doesn’t make you cool, those tools are only in it for how much money they can make at the cost of your self respect

The reason we got D2 in the state it was in and why we continue to suffer from that legacy if because of nerfs. You can thank that asshole Datto for that. And of course very recently, he posted videos calling for nerfs.

Players mad that streamers are pointing out that their easy button shouldn’t be as strong as it is. At what point does it just become a show you’re watching because any increase in general difficulty is bad in your eyes? Yeah, boss mechanics need work, but Well is also overpowered. For a quality balance of difficulty and fun both better boss mechanics and a nerf to Well need to happen. The game will be more satisfying and feel more worthwhile. But hey, you’re just addicts jonesing for an easy loot fix so you’ll desperately defend your easy button. Said defense will be ignored. By me. Hopefully by Bungie. And definitely by Lono. Because you’re tools.

It’s a raid boss staple. Who -blam!-ing cares? Are you people going to run around with your flamy swords (which don’t crit) in order to fight a giant crit spot? Noooope. We already lost Whisper because of this nonsense. Maybe think critically and realize the issue is poorly designed bosses. If Bungie does nerf it they better add some pvp utility or else they can throw this in the trash with Nova Warp.
