Dear Bungo,
PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD FIX YOUR TAKEN OGRES. After spending an entire hour on this ogre encounter, I've come to realize the extent of stupidity of Taken Ogres. This boss is STUN-LOCKING me. I can't get behind cover enough, and deal with sniper vandals that are shielded by goblins. I'm playing Destiny 2, not Ring Around the Rosie. The amount of knockback the Taken Ogres have, on top of the damage they do, is nonsense. I've got DPS down flawlessly, but when 90% of my runs end in me getting either sniped by vandals while I try to avoid this fat oaf's blasts, or me getting sniped by this fat oaf while I try to avoid these vandals' aimbot, there is a big problem.
Sincerely,
An Infuriated Member of Your Community.
P.S.
Let me ride my Sparrow on Mercury. You did it in a mission, but you can't do it for all of Mercury?

1 ReplyI get tired of having to go back so far if I die. And the missing floor sections in a gray/blue floor against a gray/blue background while trying to fight ogres and avoid spinning balls. That’s why good game developers started save anywhere. I don’t have five hours to grind poor design decisions. I can’t turn on God mode the way little Luke does.

It's been over 6 months and it's still impossible. I didn't even want to die the entire thing, I just figured my hunter had 2 weapons that needed catalysts done (sunshot and graviton) and thought it would be an easy uninterrupted way of getting it done in one sitting. Of course the unlimited shadow thrall is past the (STILL) impossible vorgeth encounter. Bungie have mercy plz

I tried it with my hunter, got to the ogre and couldn't do it. Just.... Couldn't.

3 RepliesBack in my day (which was like 4 curse cycles ago) I could use skull and destroy everything. I never intend to solo flawless it

1 Replyflawless solo shattered throne is one of the only challenges in this game that is actually hard

I had a beautiful run going. Got through first DPS phase. I start clearing adds/wizards for second phase and as I run from one wizard to the next, I get Ogre-blasted into the wall and killed by the Architects at roughly 50-75% health. The best part, though, is that there is no checkpoint reset in Shattered Throne, so you have to complete the entire dungeon for no damn reason just to get a fresh start at trying for the solo + flawless triumph again. Absolutely masterful (unintentional) trolling on Bungie's part.

1 ReplyThe ogre just wasn’t really designed with a solo run in mind. That encounter is obnoxious by yourself.
-
1 ReplyIt's not you. That encounter is just poorly designed. It's worse than the Wretched Eye.

1 ReplyWe may be just bad but I can’t get past that part either lmao
