Archival Mind has said a few times that Rasputin hasn't done much of significance in the Lore and I see where he's coming from. My guess is that Rasputin exists in Destiny's narrative as a means to hand-wave Cayde-6 into Cayde-7 and to drop helpful satellites. Here's how Bungie could make Cayde-7 happen someday (40% likelihood before end of D3): - Rasputin is used to turn Cayde-6 into Cayde-7, because CLOVIS BRAY SUPER AI ROBOTS. - Cayde-7 retains Cayde-6 memories because he's just a regular Exo. - Cayde-7 dies for #reasons #harpsplay - Random ghost used to re-guardian Cayde-7. (5% likelihood, it's somehow Pulled Pork because #poeticjustice). - Cayde-7 retains pre-death memories because he's special like that Last Word guy. Every step of the above is a stretch, but much larger sharks have been jumped before, I don't think 40% chance before end of D3 is all that crazy.
