Why is Silver associated with your Character and not your account?

It sure is a bummer that the Silver is locked to your character and not your account as all other things you bought for IRL money. On PC I have around 20K Silver but only noob guardians. On my main account with my 3 guardians at 750 and 2k hours invested I only have about 4K Silver. With the cross save I will of course pick my main account and lock the 20K Silver on my “resting” PC account :( Why are all DLC/Season passes locked to the account but not Silver? • My question is why did you buy so much silver on a noob guardians on PC and not on your main account? Silver is account based and not character based. If my hunter has 4000 silver, all my characters do. You have to buy silver through the Playstation store, for example, so why would they want to transfer that purchase over to steam?

Well, all dlc/passes/silver are tied to account. They're tied to your PSN/Xbox Acct/Battlenet. You aren't going to take your purchases with you, just the in game items associated with your in game characters.
