I tried using nail arts and range but nothing works. Also I wound up getting through sisters of battle without taking a single hit.
Edit: Managed to get through markoth but barely. Wound up dying to zote because I didn't have shape of unn on and that would have helped a lot as well as having no health at all.

2 RepliesWait, did everyone else not beat Markoth first try?

2 RepliesEdited by EnthusiasticRobot: 8/11/2019 4:59:37 AMI’m not exactly overflowing with hollow knight knowledge (in fact, I haven’t even fought Markoth in the pantheon), but I used the following strategy to beat him in Kingdom’s Edge: Dreamshield will block some of his projectiles relatively effectively when used in conjunction with Dream Wielder (makes shield bigger) and some well-timed Shadow Dashes. Play super defensively; prioritize avoiding attacks over everything else. When he spins his shield(s) around, hide in the corner and heal as much health as you can. Be patient, this is probably one of the most tedious boss fights in the game, second only to No Eyes. Or don’t, this advice is coming from the guy who had trouble fighting Hornet on my first playthrough. I am by no means an expert.

2 RepliesAlso, another tip I forgot to mention; Don’t attempt the Pantheon until you’ve beaten every boss on Ascended difficulty.

11 RepliesIf you’re a god(i forget the charm names btw) use Grubfather’s whatnot, fury of the fallen, quicknail, and just attack up

2 RepliesUse Sylver’s Patten Pending Boss-Slaying Method. 1. Fight boss. 2. Die. 3. Fight boss. 4. Die 5. Come up with new cheese strats 6. Repeat until successful

5 RepliesYour goal with him is to use the vengeful spirit/shade soul. If you hit him correctly, you can hit him up to 3 times with one ball. As far as gaining soul is concerned only hit him when he is rotating his shields.

I tried using nail arts and range but nothing works.
Just gotta train. I still recommend dash slash, but the fight’s still tough!
Also I wound up getting through sisters of battle without taking a single hit.
Me too! Doesn’t it feel awesome when that happens?
