I don't think you understand. If I went into my job and told them I quit, I quit. It doesn't matter if it has been three days since I last worked. I still quit.

I understand completely. What I don't understand is why so many people are "enraged" by this update and feel the need to let everyone know "omg they're so done". I'll bet anything he'll be back on in a few days and won't quit anything. Kudos to you for having empathy that I clearly do not possess.
