So I logged in to grind and hop into the crucible a little bit ago, and I started playing rumble. I had one match where everyone but one player was AFK, got a 1.4 and the other player got a 20.0kd. No big. I get put into another lobby and every other player was AFK botted, literally just randomly jumping and shooting. I think its a prime opportunity to get some of the gold medals for crucible (since I am not completely skilled at the game, I play for fun mostly and average around a 1.2-1.4kd most matches. I finish the match unbroken with no damage, and I get banned. I'm really not sure what is going on. Any insight?

Man bungie is getting faster and faster banning people. Usually it takes days to get banned. Now within games your banned. Good job bungie.

10 RepliesBans are manually placed on accounts following account investigation that turns up behaviour that justifies the action being taken. These investigations can be started by multiple reports of cheating or otherwise disallowed behaviour over a long time period. Alternatively, bans may be placed after the Destiny 2 app on PC detects potential cheat software and flags it, sending data to Bungie - again requiring manual confirmation for a ban to be placed. In all seriousness, and with respect, Bungie has found reasonable evidence that you have broken the Destiny code of conduct in some way and been appropriately punished for it. There is no way to appeal a ban or have it overturned. Bungie does not discuss or revoke restrictions or bans. The match itself was too close to the time at which you were banned for it to have had an effect. That is, if it is really a ban, and not a restriction.
