Enough said. Super -blam!-ing annoying when I'm trying to win for malfeasance. Already have quest just trying to get the wins to clarify

7 RepliesBungie underestimated just how much people dislike gambit.

Edited by Ogma: Destroyer of Worlds: 8/9/2019 4:26:17 PMYes, it’s a shitty thing to do, but I don’t know what fantasy world people live in where they think people won’t alleviate excessively, uninspired, tedious grinds like this. Pursuits need to be made with that fact in mind. It’s human nature. Ignoring it will only make things worse.
-
1 ReplyPeople will try and blame bungie. But in reality it's this shitty playerbase. Maybe it's the participation trophy/victim mentality generation. You're responsible for your own actions.
-
ITT - People blaming Bungie for their own shitty, selfish behaviour.

Edited by Maxximus Aurelius Rexx: 8/8/2019 7:40:23 AMJust leave. I only play Prime now because it's WAAAAAAAAAAAY faster. Matches last like max 10min. Shitty team? You get a brand new one, win or lose.
-
3 RepliesThey have to force players into a dying game mode during quests to get the numbers up. If the player numbers remain poor it shows they have failed, this way it makes it look positive whether players are afk or not, the participation still counts. Bungo failed hugely with gambit. I know a lot more players that avoid it than play it.

I would never AFK Gambit matches for armor. But if I am being honest if my team loses the first round I don’t want to extend my hell so I am not trying to win the next round. (I’ll kill invaders and kill enemies for you to collect but I won’t collect and I certainly am not maximizing my DPS on the boss) I just want to get in and get out.
-
I know the cookie cutter answer everyone would be telling you is to get a full fireteam, but if you're trying to actually win matches that's your best option. Try looking for people on LFG's or join a clan. If you're already in a clan but can't find people to play with you need to find a new clan.

The most I do is stop trying as hard when I realize my team isn't going to win.
-
If I decide to continue with this grind I’ll be doing the same , plus when doing the mini boss part I’ll stay until we kill all them then I’ll depart . 4 times in a row last night when doing this it put me into a finished game with 1 player running round finding chest s. sorry to anyone who joins me from tonight onwards. Can’t beat them join them , Great game design Bungie

7 RepliesShit like this is what happens when Bungie forces people to participate in game types they dislike in order to unlock something so simple as a piece of armor. It's a crying shame that they want me to play a ton of Crucible in order to unlock these armors, because then I might actually feel inclined to do it. The Solstice grind would be a lot more enjoyable if the Strike/Crucible/Gambit steps applied to all game modes, with Crucible kills granting a lot more progress. This way anyone who wanted to get the armor would be able to do so without subjecting themselves to game types they find boring or frustrating. Crucible players would be able to complete their steps in Crucible, Gambit players in Gambit, PvE players in Strikes, and so on. No matter what game type you're playing, you would be progressing towards the Majestic set and still enjoying the game, not torturing yourself. Crucible and Gambit players could potentially unlock their armor faster, even. But nah, Bungie hates their players.

15 RepliesEdited by DHawk12: 8/7/2019 5:44:21 AMTheres no penalty for being afk, thats why. Afk penalty tiers should be: Warning 1 hour ban 24 ban 1 week 2 weeks (repeatedly) Resets after 1 week without going afk Every activity should also have a vote to kick option. Edit: Nothing is worse than having a useless teammate in gambit using macros to go afk without getting kicked. Forges are semi-exempt because if done properly, you are solo in 100% of your afk runs.

16 RepliesEdited by KRoMXiTo: 8/5/2019 4:52:45 PMI hope they get perma-banned. Straightaway. 1 week ban does nothing as they will do it again. just f*** perma-ban any afk/cheater!!!!!!!!!! so if they want to do it again... they will have to buy the game again.

1 ReplyI was in a match earlier I have no idea what the people were doing but I got dropped in they had no motes banked they were holding 4 motes and had about 4 blockers just sitting on the bank. I cleared the bank got 14 motes banked they still had not done anything so I took a seat. At the end of the match I had the most kills the most motes bank and the most guardian kills. Yet if I leave I get in trouble for it even though I should have been able to leave that.

It’s tough in this game to be trying to complete any type of quest based activity as a solo player. You’re best bet is to be in a fireteam or find another game to play. Solo que will only lead to further frustration.
-
2 RepliesIt astounds me how many people are making excuses for people harming the gaming experience of others. It’s never excusable to go afk in a team activity. It’s also dumb that a person can go afk for an entire match and Bungie doesn’t kick them.
-
Edited by Skyflier: 8/5/2019 11:33:28 AMYes the afking is getting ridiculous, I just finished a match of gambit prime where I was the only person doing anything on my team, the rest where afk for most if not all of the match (it went to the time limit). Even the other team had two afk's and the other two player's did nothing for the first half of the match judging by the lack of movement on their mote bar. It really takes the fun and satisfaction out of the game for those of us that want to put the effort in, play the game and EARN the rewards.
-
If you make requirements harder like WIN gambit matches, people will actually play. But if you make it completions to make it "easier" people will afk since they don't have to do anything. You either get tryhards every match cause of wins and any other requirement trying or afk for completions.

Enough said. Super -blam!-ing annoying when I'm trying to win for malfeasance
Should have got malfeasane along time ago scrub

1 ReplyThis is probably more like PC issue? Have only seen few AFKers on PS4. In help section there was someone who had been perma banned for AFK in gambit. Just report all AFKers, maybe at least some of them gets banned. Also Forge and crucible AFKers. They get free resources without doing nothing and ruin other players experience, no excuses.
-
I feel for you. I really do. But Gambit sucks so much I can't blame people for AFKing. I would rather go through 100 Revelry events than play that shitty game mode. The least they could do is rename the mode Power Ammo: The Game
-
If your hunting malfeasance then you should have a full team or you can't complain with what you get put witb.
-
1 ReplyEdited by UK Mojo: 8/6/2019 11:47:08 AMsee with this issue, Bungie should have giving us a option, you can either do 10 gambit matches, 10 vanguard strikes, 10 crucible matches or even 1 Raid to complete this section. Its not a first for a game to introduce multi completion quest lines. Neutral opinion - don't take it to heart some of you... Destiny community is so divided at the moment weather it be PVP or PVE or maybe both elements, developers need to make it more open instead of restricting content to each quest step.

Same. However, I just killed two Primevil Servitors and neither dropped the damn bounty for me

Gambit is putrid. I'm glad people are shedding dome light on how terrible it is by choosing to AFK it. Balance the f-ucking invaders. #dattoisright

1 ReplyEdited by Týr-Skadi: 8/6/2019 5:45:21 PMI did'nt like Gambit. Never played it. But at least i have the decency to play along, while working on that armor. (And still spoiling other peoples game cause i just cant play, but that's another thing.) But I indeed saw people just standing there and doing nothing. Don't like that too.
