The Perfect paradox shotgun may alluded that won against the darkness

The lore tap for the perfect paradox states I never found Osiris, but I've killed enough Vex to end a war. And they, in turn, struck a fatal blow: they completed a Mind with the sole function to drain the Light from me. It worked very well. Don't worry (not that you worry much). It took them centuries to build, keyed to the unique frequency of my Light. And I sit atop its shattered husk. I mourn that I will never reach the heights you have. To me, you represent everything a Guardian can become. Yours is a thriving City. So different from mine. My whole fourteenth life I fought to make my City yours. I never finished. All I have left is this weapon. The Cryptarchs say you crafted it yourself, built it out of scraps and Light and sheer will, inside the Infinite Forge. I'll make sure it finds its way back to you. When you gave it to me, I swore I would make it my duty to follow your example. I'm still trying. -Saint-14 The theory me and the lads propose is This tells us that our guardian gave this shotgun to Saint-14 in the future, he says the city is thriving meaning this could be either after the war with the darkness or years after the forsaken. The city is thriving and he wants his to look like ours.

  • Not at all. Saint-15 is dead. How can he get something in the future? He can’t. He came across us in a simulation and got the shotgun. The paradox is that right there. Because the shotgun has no business existing. There is no time traveling in the lore.

    • Saint got that gun from an alternate version of us from an alternate universe where we were MUCH better adapted and ready for a fight with the Darkness, so much so that we won. That won’t happen in our universe.

      • Saint-14 received that gun from an alternate version of us that he met through a Vex Gate. This gate led to the future of an alternate timeline where we defeated the Darkness and Humanity entered a new safe Golden Age. This future is possible for us, but we don’t know if we’ll reach it.

        • <Well, considering that Shadowkeep is the catalyst for a series of Vex invasions that'll go throughout Y3, it seems we may be getting some interesting Vex storylines. This could mean Saint-14's view of our future is like a few months from now. Because I REALLY don't expect the City or Traveler to survive the second Collapse.>

          • Oh, I thought the Speaker made the gun.
