I am not human, I am not a man. Yes, I am a male bear, but I am not human by any practical standards. I'm not writing this to complain, but to keep things straight. If you keep calling me bear man, I'm not going to freak out, but its not what I prefer to be called. For me, being called "man" is much like the way society genders men and women by calling them he, him, her, she, etc. Its a small injustice that can annoy at times. It reminds one of the overarching social structures that lead to oppression of non conformist individuals. Its always been about fitting in. As many of you know, I dont fit in. So in short, if you could just call me "bear", "burly", or even "critter", I would appreciate it.
