It consistently feels like Bungie is completely unfamiliar with the MMO genre , I'm honestly not sure many of any of them have played an MMO, I know some have said Luke Smith played WoW at some point , but I don't know that many of them know anything about MMOs. Naoki Yoshida , lovingly referred to by the FFXIV community as Yoshi-p, turned what was essentially in the eyes of Square Enix ,a dumpster fire, into a MMORPG that has almost completely surpassed WoW and has more than 13 million active subscriptions . His first act as the lead developer on FFXIV was tell the entire team to " Go play WoW for a month" in order to be able to understand the kind of game that they were seeking to create. Grant you this was a time before blizzard completely lost touch with it's community, but I digress... My advice to Bungie would be to go play FFXIV for a month , but I know my advice will fall on deaf ears as usual.
