People don't revive each other so they can get a miniboss kill or pick up orbs. Everyone is running a different subclass to get x void orbs or x arc orbs so no one is helping each other. People quit because the mini boss farming part is over
and this grind is painful and stupid. Play another 30 strikes even though there hasn't been a new strike out since forsaken.
nice job bungo, game so fun. Wear stupid blue armor and run subclass you don't like gg

Solstice brings out the worst in people
Solstice has nothing on Bungie 😂

Hit that nail on the head.

6 RepliesMore like Solstice brought out the worst in Bungie. They do this on purpose. They make the content suck and the players turn on each because they think we’ll grind longer when it’s convoluted and unintuitive. I really hope none of you plebs have ordered Shadowkeep because if you don’t stop perpetuating this behavior it’s just going to keep getting worse.
-
3 RepliesHow much fun would it have been if they just gave it to everyone as a thank you gift and let us run all exotic gear for a month to finish out the year, as a real celebration. People would still be playing but, you know, having a blast instead.
-
6 RepliesIt’s not just solstice. It’s always been a thing. Bungie makes a teamcentric game and then makes these bounties that go against the very game they envision.
-
20 RepliesI've not been in a single party chat where anyone said they actually enjoyed solstice of heros. The topic of conversation usually revolves around cheeses to get this crap over with. Solstice of heros has only reinforced further my determination that I wont pre order Shadowkeep. Hours of monotonous grind for trash looking legendary armour. The Eververse glows also look shite.
-
As do most bungoe quests , they promote this.
-
8 RepliesIt's unfortunate, but with such a tedious grind that forces you to complete objectives that you normally wouldn't attempt, and with a set timeline, people aren't going to be in the right mindset. It's bound to bring out the worst in players.

6 RepliesEdited by RAUDRULF: 8/4/2019 5:21:32 AMthat and for some reason people are AFK Farming strikes for Keys. had 1 guy run 2 games where he did jack shit. just turning around. worked out well in the end, got my void orbs. Also, you get idiots in your clan that takes this shit way too seriously, have to have everything done right now, so they can be "clan first" - like one of those new kids who just got a new toy. then proceed to tell you everything they did to get there. "oh you shouldn't be doing that, i got my armor day 1 doing this" good for you. have a sandwich. - its a game. go outside. talk to real people.
-
Thats why you just stop playing, at least till you see how shadowkeep is, unless you’re an idiot who pre-orders then i guess you’re stuck with the dice roll of generally mediocre content this game produces.
-
They won’t add strikes because that’s against their mission. The mission is to only build or tweak new content that’s yet to be sold. Or with Annual Pass it’s the bare minimum because most guardians are addicted and will buy whatever poo sandwich they serve up. New strikes have been transformed into new “mp horde arenas” as they can get more press and player engagement from vs building a strike. If they invest resources into updating old content to increase the fun factor= then they would be rewarding the coming f2p base or encourage players to buy on sale. They can’t do that which is a real shame since the older content is so mindless you can just walk through it

Yeah this events done more to drive me away from the game than anything else. Look at my slowly decreasing play time.
-
6 RepliesBungie ruins the team aspect of their own game which has always been the most bizarre thing they do.

8 RepliesDestiny, brings out the worst in people. Fixed that for you.

Edited by CookieNiki: 8/3/2019 5:01:26 PMSorry but that only shows the worst in Bungie planning. It's obvious players will always use the shortest, less "grindy" and less time consuming way to get something. Bungie knows that pretty well and yet launches this event without thinking about all those issues. They could have made the bosses count as 5 or 6 minibosses on kill, that way nobody would leave.

I'm pretty happy with all the warlock subclasses. They all feel so much more fun than Titan and Hunter.
-
You didn’t name the title right, people who actually grind this armor are literally the definition of “ dumb “
-
Just quit, if you really like the game QUIT!, stop feeding streamers, stop feeding eververse, just play something else, ANYTHING!

8 RepliesEdited by UPGRAYEDD: 8/2/2019 11:10:51 PMAlso, people on the green armor are doing everything they can to not do heroic public events while the blue armor people get screwed. People are AFK farming gambit and crucible for completions or losing on purpose to get it done fast or just focusing on getting the orbs instead of winning. The worst is when players on BOTH teams are trying to lose while still invasding with Truth which makes the game go on forever. Overall, the solstice requirements between the green and blue are at odds with each other and pit players against each other. To the people who say "you have a month to do it". That's great, but nobody wants to wear blue armor with crap rolls for a month so the motivation to get it done fast is very real and justified.

While the grind is a bit much it is also supposed to be over the course of weeks. As for “the worst is people” I find the exact opposite. I had two people help me with the titan patrols despite one of them being a titan and needing them on io. I had two different people not progress a strike and wait for me to get my last few dozen orbs in a lost sector before they pulled me forward.

I personally dont mind the grind, or doing things I may not be comfortable with for a short period... But I do agree.. for some reason this Solstice has made the community all the more toxic. Iv come across the usual toxic behavior in destiny.. you lose in crucible, get teabagged and hatemail, rushers in strikes, afkers.. but right now it just seems all the worse. I was doing the blue armor for my warlock, and it required me to make solar orbs in strikes.. Each strikes had its weirdness.. a couple that stood out though was on one strike a titan, in blue armor, did absolutely nothing! Nothing, didnt shoot anything, would run to some corner and emote and t-bag.. would purposely die and respawn when we progressed, only to again hide in a corner.. I had to fight the boss alone because the third person left, leaving me with the dingus. It was so baffling.. another strike I was constantly shot at, and teabagged, while alive, by someone who was making arc orbs, while I was again making solar orbs.. at the end of the strike I was checking my progress, only to come out of my menu to see the person teabagging me as he circled around me. Just wtf... This has been one of the most toxic events I have seen in Destiny.. poor design. As redundant and annoying as last years Solstice was.. I would rather do that again, then this EAZ event..

4 RepliesWasnt there bounties for spider that had you hunting for high value targets, but if someone killed the high value target before you got there to land a blow it didnt count? And didnt bungie fix that so all you have to do is be in the area? Why wasnt this put in place for the solstice as well.. you are all doing the same thing, any miniboss killed should count for you too... but bungie didnt think that far.
