I have horrible internet that doesn’t let me play or even see other players in social spaces and during patrol. So the only way I can play online is through mobile hotspot, unfortunately. Sometimes it’s great sometimes I barely nudge my phone and I get kicked from a game.
Recently I’ve gotten suspended from Gambit twice in one day due to connection issues. And I’m getting really scared about it because I’m afraid that I might get perm banned or something. And I need to play Gambit so I can complete my solstice gear.
So I began to wonder, does Destiny 2 have a permanent ban system? Or is a half hour suspension as far as it goes? (For Crucible, Strikes, and Gambit)

3 RepliesYou can absolutely get permanent banned. It goes from 30 min 1-2 weeks 1-2 months Then permanent. I suggest you to upgrade before playing anymore online. You have a whole month to get the gear, you have some time.

People are pretty shitty and report others for connection issues even if they are the ones with the issue not the one getting reported. In your case idk how gambit works but if you get reported enough in crucible you’ll get a warning and then if it continues you’ll get a 2 week ban, after that is a 2 month ban and after that is (I think) perm ban

Bungie WILL give you a permanent ban. You need to get proper wired internet or stop playing the game. To be brutally honest it is very selfish of you to even try to play via hotspot you are spoiling the game for so many. Read this article. https://netduma.com/blog/top-10-tips-fix-destiny-lag/

2 RepliesYou get two weeks as well for connection issues. Not sure after that.
