I haven't logged into Solstice and doubt I will. I loved Destiny when it was a game. I have no desire to play Destiny the job.

This. Havent even tried. I did the last one 100%... then they immediately made it irrelevant. This time, the grind is too much and centers on things that are just no fun.

The melodrama is nauseating. It's no where near as tough as a grind as last year's solstice. What do you suggest they change about it?

Not require picking up orbs that disappear quickly or have them last as long as regular orbs. Picking up 500 void orbs,that disappear rapidly,in a strike when you get matched with people who are on a different step takes 99% ofvthe fun out of playing. We shouldn't have to form a premade to do something that should be simple.

The short timer helps prevent that. It would have been better if the quest design team got their shit together and made the numbers required appropriate, but they have been dropping the ball for over a year now so not sure what we should actually expect.

Well, you may not want to log in anytime soon then. The game has always been this way (except for year 1 of D2, which lost a huge chunk of the base, so "fun" is subjective if that's the time you are referring to.). If it feels like a job, it's time to quit. It should be fun...and is for many people, but when it's not, it's OK to stop.

Only fun in this event is the new match made activity. And even that gets bad once you have to kill 100 mini bosses (orange bars don't count anymore).

One run is 10 minutes approximately. I roughly net 7 to 8 boss kills a run. Judging by the amount of kills by time in an hour ... 3 hours. That. Ain't. Bad.

Yeah....that was for 2 stats on a weapon that wasn't fully upgraded yet. Really, it's not long at all. You can hit other metrics in between there. Not a bad grind. I've spent more time crystal hunting for one part of a weapon that that.

So just play it as a game? I don't understand. If the only enjoyment you get is from being given items at the end of a quest then it will always suck. Same way if at a job you're only there for a paycheck and don't enjoy the people you work with/work you do
