My clan is a small, 4 member clan I made with my buddies for the extra rewards. None of them play the game anymore. I don't want to join another random clan for the sake of completing the step. Please remove the clanmate requirement

174 RepliesPotential options:
• Get your friends to play again • Recruit new members to your Clan • Join an active clan
It always sucks when a Clan dies down. I've been through many. Hope you're able to complete this step in time.

9 RepliesEdited by x0 BlackJack 0x: 8/1/2019 8:43:18 PMWe here at Bungie like to give our players options when playing Destiny. You either play it the way we want you to or you can go away. We have your money now so we don’t give a shit Goodbye

Patch notes: Fixed a problem where some players were still supportive of the IP - Doubled down on all of the game’s asinine mechanics - Publicly acknowledged that our game design philosophy is being guided by the noise of our chained up interns scraping nails on a chalkboard wall to beg for scraps of food in a pit beneath the floor, instead of being guided by the notion of player experience

1 ReplyYou are right. It shouldn’t be a requirement just to masterwork gear you already obtained without a clan.
-
1 ReplyI agree, shouldn't be penalized for not playing w Klan.
-
4 RepliesLol daaaaaaaaamn, dmg04 just flat out tells you "to bad, go f yourself" lol. Man this game blooooooows. Bungie blooooooows. It's employees bloooooooooooooow!!
-
2 RepliesWell you got an answer from Bungo: NO, get yourself some friends.
-
2 RepliesBefore asking people to join a clan, it would be cool if the game actually had developed the clan thing. I doubt anyone can argue how sad it is. In the current state joining a clan equal : search through forum for some random group and join their discord channel.
-
If your clan is dead, join a new clan. Problem solved.
-
My clan has open spots. 2 and half pages online last night. Welcome to join. https://www.bungie.net/en/ClanV2?groupid=2095000

4 RepliesOr just join a clan? Can people accept that this is a co-op game leaning into the MMO side. If you want to get EVERYTHING in the game, you need to play EVERYTHING and engage in EVERYTHING. Want Wendigo? Gotta play PvE Want Recluse? Gotta play PvP Want all the Lore? Gotta collect and play activites that require it. Want all the exotics? Gotta play some raids. Want the entie Solstice masterworkd set? Join a clan You might even meet a community of people you like! Get new friends, join a clan, learn to raid and call upon people whenever you need help with somthing, it doesn't matter. Just accept that if you dont want to engage with everything the game has to offer, you wont get everything it has to offer either.

Edited by DZA: 8/2/2019 7:33:27 AMAhhh join an active clan duhhh.. That's on you and not Bungie
-
i feel bad for you man. i have been thru 3 clans, all died. now i have one friend i play with we go from clan to clan together. if your on ps4 hit me up.

Edited by SwankyButters: 8/2/2019 7:22:25 AMBut wait... That would be too much like matchmaking and we can't have that can we? No, everyone is firmly against that. All you folks HATE that, don't you? I mean come on, how can you complete it without ClanMates? ಠ_ಠ X_X Ծ_Ծ (ʘ_ʘ)

Oh, no. Missing out on this masterwork will ruin everything! Seriously, when shadowkeep comes out, you won't need that masterworked anyway. If you must have it, it's a multiplayer game. Adapt or die. This is on you. If you can't be bothered to join a new clan, you don't get every reward in the game. Simple. It won't kill you to do this. Disclaimer: I have severe social anxiety. Real bad. You know what? Life doesn't care. Find a way to get over it.

dmg04 is right; when my clan died, I joined a new one. It’s always an option.
-
Wait, so you refuse to easily adapt by leaving an inactive clan of your friends to join an active one to complete a masterwork step and maybe getting a clan which plays with you? Why the hell would you do that? It would be...
... an absolute win! ~ Professor Hulk
If your friends no longer play, you're no longer getting those extra rewards. Joining another 'random' clan will not only benefit you via that, but you can complete the step. Seriously, it's not hard, you're just being stubborn. You're complaining about them requiring you to actually USE a feature in the game to masterwork gear, because you're too stubborn to leave an inactive/dead clan that provides no benefits at all and join one that actually does. I'm genuinely confounded as to how this has so many likes. Jesus Christ you guys, it's not hard to be social in a game that is meant to be social.

3 RepliesAh yes, the classic minority that constantly wines and hopes that the majority suffers because of their greed and selfishness. You could solve the issue yourself without having to compromise the other 80% of people who don't mind the step. Classic.
-
You can join mine if you want just to complete this event. It's literally just me and one other person who quit playing shortly after D2 launched.
-
Missing the point of what a clan can be...
-
18 RepliesSome people aren't even in a clan. So, how the hell are they supposed to MW their gear?
-
So you made and joined a clan for extra rewards and now that you get nothing from your clan because you're the only active player.... you think its dumb you have to join a clan for rewards?
-
Or make it soloable, but doing it w clan mates will finish it faster
-
Agreed. I got fed up with all the clan crap, and the drama it brings.. so I quit the clan stuff. Now its you need to be in a clan to do triumphs to get titles, clan stuff for this, clan stuff for that. You should be able to enjoy the full game without being in a clan. A clan should just be a bonus, not a requirement for anything.

Is this solstice bull? Recommended answer: don't waste your time, there are better things to do with it.
