why isn't this one given to everyone and not determined by wether or not you played crucible in the 4 days window bungie are saying qualifies for this emblem?
the lord of wolves emblem was announced on a few TWAB and was tweeted/twitch and youtubed out by many of content creaters as well as tweeted out a whole bunch. now i get that they decided to do something about lord of wolves and celebrate it and thats cool as eveyone knew it was gonna happen and even now as i type this i bet you can go on twitter or your own clan pages wether it be discord or band or whatever means you guys have of communicating or sharing stuff and i bet you'll see people posting to remind you to play iron banner before reset if you wish to collect or obtain the wolves emblem etc.
no its cool and even cooler that the next emblem the prismatic fire one is way cooler and everyone wants it but what did bungie do? without any warning or advance notice of this emblem they say that unless you played between the 8th-12th december in 2017 yes nearly 2 years ago then you are not gonna get that one!
i say that this is not on bungie and not fair to many destiny players who up until a few days ago didn't even know about this one and yes i do get its to celebrate when prometheus lens was OP and they allowed XUR to sell it so have fun and blah blah blah but seriously many players are not gonna get this one for many reasons myself included due to a spell in hospital and out of my control and i am guessing like others have similar reasons as to why they didn't play on those pacific days?
c'mon bungie do the right thing and give it to all of us wether you played or not.

You are being pretty sad over a emblem also it's just that who cares we who played during that time especially the guys and girls who ran in without Prometheus and kept getting smacked with it and sorry bud it's a rare emblem you complaining isn't gonna get it for you
-
It was hell, we who participated deserved a reward. Especially those who jumped in without a Prometheus lens *cough* me *cough*
-
Boy get outta here with that complaining. Bungie does something fun and you have to cry that you don’t have an emblem. Vro chill.

1 ReplyI'm fairly certain I didn't play on lazer tag weekend and you know what? I'm an adult and will deal with it.
-
It's the "Lived to Tell the Tale" emblem. If you didn't immediately jump into crucible after Xur sold Prometheus Lens, you don't deserve the emblem.
-
Ultimately, if you didn’t play during the time frame you shouldn’t get the emblem because you weren’t a part of the experience. Also, they didn’t announce this emblem back then because they probably had no plans to give anyone an emblem.

1 ReplyEdited by haball3r: 8/3/2019 2:50:35 AMThe emblem was specifically designed around the laser beam the Prometheus Lens fires. Prometheus was broken when Curse of Osiris launched, Xur sold the weapon so everyone had a chance to use it IF THEY WERE PLAYING, and the event was coined "Laser tag weekend." If you did not participate in the crucible during this time, then you do not get the emblem that was made for this specific weekend. Also if everyone did receive this emblem, then it would lose its rarity and value because everyone would equip it. I do not know how much more cookie-cutter I can make this explanation. Edit: I understand you were in the hospital at the time of the event and anyone would be bummed if they could not get the emblem. However, there are multiple emblems in the game that require triumphs from Destiny 1, and no one knew they would get an emblem from that. Bungie has no reason to give an emblem specific to an event to people that did not play, no matter what, and ultimately life is not fair. It sucks, I know, but that’s the way things go. (Also, I am sorry if I seemed harsh in my previous reply)
WOW all these responses is missing the point of my post,no-one knew bungie was going to do an emblem for that event back in 2017 compared to literally everyone knowing about the lord of wolves one coming up and how to get that one. how is it fair to just decide OH i know lets create an emblem for just those 4 days that XUR sold the lens then give it to those people that played during those 4 days, no-body knew bungie was going to do this back then let alone even now! anyway i remember the lens being OP in trials and crucible and played either side of when it was OP unfortunately i had to spend time in hospital and couldn't play destiny around that time and so yes i will not get said emblem, i am an adult and yes will get over it but as per many posts above my post wasn't to moan and -blam!- about it, i bet many players for various reasons didn't play around those particular 4 days and will not get the emblem as well. jesus lighten up people.
It isn't supposed to be fair, it's to commemorate an occasion they were apart of which is specifically after Xur sold Promethus Lens. Just because I'm not able to Raid Day 1 within the 24 hour time limit due to life and downloading, etc. Does that mean it should be more fair for me to get that specific emblem? No, it shouldn't. I understand that nobody knew this was going to end up as a reward, and people specifically stayed away from Crucible for that exact reason. but it doesn't matter, if you didn't participate then you didn't participate.

At first I was going to mention the fact you sound entitled but I see you're a Chelsea fan so it would be the equivalent of trying to teach quantum physics to a moth. GLORY GLORY MAN UNITED!!!!!

why isn't this one given to everyone and not determined by wether or not you played crucible in the 4 days window bungie are saying qualifies for this emblem?
It is meant to show you played pvp during the broken weapon time frame. If you did not have to deal with it then why would you be rewarded?
-
2 RepliesThen how would that be fair to players who actually earned the emblem by playing on the days when the weapon was OP? Its supposed to be a special emblem that players who earned it can be proud of. Its not special if they just give it out to everyone, as this completely defeats the purpose of the emblem
