That last part of the quote is far from what Bungie has done with the game.

  • Yeah that sagari ghost Osiris has lol. Shit literally almost took me a month to get since it’s weekly time gated. It will always be my ghost no matter how better the other ghosts looks/perks are. But sometimes I just look at the perk it has an ask myself.. was all that grinding worth being able to detect caches 10 more meters away than a average ghost only on a single planet?

  • True Bungies basically like, “Hey we know we made grinding a second job and not that fun but hey just pay us 40$ again and then you can do the same thing all over again, only this time the gear will look the exact same just with a reworked system that will probably not even be as great as we showed in the advertisements”, The way I see it we are repeating history with every big update to this game, 1. Bungie introduces new system, 2. Bungie advertises new system and says is the best thing ever, finally 3. When players get their hands in system it turns out system is actually pretty trash and really doesn’t make gear that meaningful cause Bungie doesn’t want to make gear as powerful as it was in D1. All I’m saying is people use the same defenses to defend this armpit system, even though it’s just like why did this take so long when people were asking for this back in 2017 and why do they have to make everything a chore only to make it useless. Now while people can say other MMOs do this that just ain’t true, ESO has a set limit and every new dlc just adds new stuff while keeping the old stuff powerful, and thus the game is fun and it doesn’t turn into a boring grind fest where you have to completely change your gear and make your character look trash every 6 months. Also you don’t have to buy the new dlcs cause of this system all you have to do is play the base game is you want the dlcs just add more to do and don’t just leave you behind like how an actual MMO is supposed to do.

  • Bungie doesn't know how to make a looter shooter let alone a story. Their way to come up with a game is a rinse and repeat because that is all today's Bungie knows how to do. Bungie has been doing this for a long time while throwing things in the game to see if it works., basically winging the entire game with no sense of direction at all. Mindless quest/bounties are the most effort they have put into this game and even then, 99.99% of them are things we have been doing for the last 5 years. No sense of imagination, no foundation, no consistency, no motivation to make a complete game. Sure, there are some fun things to do in D2, but most of the content in the game is irrelevant that has no use for anyone that has been playing the game for a while. That's not including the broken economy, the broken loot system, and the lovely RNG. Then you have the oh so special Tess that is ruining the game.
