Hey Bungie,
I have been spawned in front of someone actively in their super 4 times this game. Being killed off of spawn by a super is one of the worst feelings you can get in Crucible. I remember watching some bungie vidoc that talked about balancing PvP and that it needs to feel fun to kill with something and it needs to feel fun to be killed by something. This is a clear example of something that does not feel fun to get killed by.
Quick edit: Just to give some additional clarification since many of the comments are touching on this; this post doesn't pretend to suggest nerfs to roaming supers or instant damage supers. This is primarily about spawn priority in Crucible. I believe that all spawn locations within a certain distance of an active super (say 20 meters) should not allow an enemy to spawn in on you. Supers can cover a lot of distance very quickly, and client-host latency usually makes it so that the super has already killed you on their screen before you can even react. SPAWN PRIORITY is what my feedback is about.

7 RepliesRoaming supers are the worst thing in crucible atm in my opinion. They last forever, its impossible to shut them down unless you are team shotting or using a very specific setup (suppression grenades or tether), and are just absolutely awful to deal with. Most of these can wipe an entire team and then some. i've seen people get 8-10 kills from one super activation. That is actually insane. They need to reel these things in a bit, or if nothing else, decrease the damage resistance so that some skilled play can shut them down a bit quicker

Don't spawn in front of them then.
if you arent running 5 super mods you arent playing the game
As it is right now its not going to happen because its a big part of catch up and forced loss mechanics. What I can't stand is when you join in progress and just get knocked around by supers from the time you spawn in until the time the other team wins. Stuff like that should just be unnecessary. The game needs to stop with the trying to force a certain K/D and win/loss rate.

It’s strictly due to map size and 6v6 on a 4v4 map. Make quick play 4v4 again and it will be good or just release 8 large maps with Shadowkeep.

2 RepliesEdited by Corrick II: 7/29/2019 9:13:49 AMWhile I agree roaming supers leave you feeling terrible after being killed by one twice in the same super, I yet again feel the urgency to point out that Bungie sucks at nerfing PvE and PvP separately, and making it “fair” and balanced for PvP will absolutely ruin it for PvE. I know that won’t garner much sympathy from the PvP tryhards who think multiplayer is literally all Destiny is about, but I’m sorry. A single player mode exists and a lot of people play it, and the PvP crowd is not big enough to support Destiny on its own.

I hate it so much to get killed by a roaming super and that Bungie thinks that I really love being killed by that same roaming super so they spawn me right in front of it again. I really understand that the game is dynamic and a spawn point is hard to calculate sometimes but at least don't spawn me right in front of that same super again. Maybe a check on who of the opponents has a super, where are these players on the map and just spawn players where ever they are not. :)

1 ReplyI hear ya. Last night, in the Endless Vale map, I got re-spawned 5 times in the exact same place (Zone C).......with 2 or more enemies around. I was ready to quit the match if there was a 6th time.
-
3 RepliesDid that vidoc come out in Fall of 2017 or after September of 2018?
-
Actually the whole PvP isn't fun, i'm trying to do the mountaintop quest and...yeah, i don't think i need to say anything else
-
I have been spawned in front of someone actively in their super 4 times this game.
happens to me at least twice in every game , sometimes more than twice.
-
4 RepliesThe maps were made for 4v4, and the iron banner game mode kinda encourages people to run around like ants. It happens... if a team does a good job holding down their zones then you can minimize it, but if everyone pushes for C then the enemy will be arriving at A right around the same time that the last person spawns there.
-
yeaaaaa, ive done it too so i cant really complain
-
I got killed by the same striker Titan in his super... 3 times in a row due to the shit spawn system this game has. Like, Bungie, you’ve had since the crap spawns of Halo to fix your damn algorithm on spawns, and 18 years later it still sucks.

4 RepliesNot fun being served up right as you get spawned

The problems with spawns only happen when you and your teammates and the enemy team are pretty bad and are spread all over the map and overly aggressing. Therefore there isn’t a safe spot to spawn, but the game chooses to put you with your team next to one guy instead of alone against the rest of their team.

Edited by Quiet_Bushi: 7/29/2019 2:46:59 PMI've lost the count of how many times I've been re-spawned in front of the guy in Super that just killed me few seconds ago. Idem, being re-spawned with 3-4 opponents around and get spanwkilled. Basically free points for the opponent team. I don't know if this is true or not, but it seems that the problem are the D2 Maps that are too small for twelve players 'cos they were designed for eight. So, by this, with a third more of players going around respawn becomes a mess.
-
Spawning would be fine if we had bigger maps like First Light and Bastion
-
Don't get started on the spawns in d2 It's the worst I've ever seen. Spawning 5 out of 10 times with 3 or more enemy's around me
-
They really need a small safe area where you respawn that kicks you out after 15 seconds or damage immunity for 15 seconds or until you take action (move, shoot, etc)
-
1 ReplyI have to give Titans a break because they’ve been pretty much screwed over in every other D2 activity. I’d be leaning hard on my Titan right now if not for the fact that I need a couple of resets on my Hunter. I usually just pop an emote when I see a Fist of Eternity coming my way. lol

3 RepliesRoaming supers are easily the biggest issue with crucible right now in my opinion. I am praying they hit them hard enough in September.
-
Roaming supers are definitely too strong atm. Especially with 5 super mods chaining, it's just sad. And buff tether btw.
-
Being honest I have never had fun being killed by anything in any game, ever.Ive had fun having my but kicked as a way to prolong a fight and make it more enjoyable but I’ve never had fun getting wrecked.

I would just like an armor drop.
