The purple door in the Solarium/Arboretum

I have always been fascinated with this area. A seemingly high tech civilization that as far as i know had to evacuate for reasons unknown (hive? im not sure if it was ever explained) The one thing that bothers me about the area is the sheer volume of doors that are there, many of them that seems like you could open them, but cannot (i am aware that during strike/adventures, some of these locked doors are opened). I have spent many hours in the Solarium, scouring every inch of the huge complex looking for any kind of secret door or sneakily hidden entrance etc. But the purple door - the doors in the solarium are either red, blue or white (and 1 time one is yellow?). But there is one door that teases the mind - colored purple and slightly open so that you can peek through, although there is nothing to see. It has always bothered me, because it's teasing you in but the gap isn't wide enough. Anyway - just wondering if there is any adventure/quest etc that let's you go beyond this door, or is it just nothing? Here is a screenshot of said door - https://imgur.com/a/uFdpR64

What I usually do to see if you can open certain doors is shoot them. If they don’t open, there will be a bullet hole in them, but if they do open, the bullets don’t leave a mark.

  • In an effort to make these worlds seem expansive they have all these areas we can't get into. It's a major tease but honestly, even if these were to be open, what would they yield? Long corridors, empty rooms and pointless exploration. The one thing I've always hated about all these worlds is that the only reason we go here is to kill aliens. It feels hollow after a while.

    • No. Likely the room is just Bungie playing around with those adventurous people. Though, it’s always possible that it will open in the near future but Titan as a planet is pretty dry for the exception of Xur, Flashpoints, Heroic Adventures, Wanted Enemies and exotic quests that may lead you here like Outbreak Perfected.

    • % Doubt any it's anything. And Titan was lost to the Darkness just like every other off world colony. And the only interesting Solarium room is the Green Room. How is it that only one room seems to be completely unharmed and still growing fresh with trees and grass and other plants?
