Changing on line psn Id.
Hi everyone.. Does anyone know if changing your on line id will lose all my progress in destiny and destiny 2..? I've had my name for do long now and really want to change it.. But, if I change it does the game recognise your ps4 rather than the id name...?

Just an update to say I took the forum advice and dowloaded the Destiny 2 app on my phone. This allowed me to change my account details and my profile now been successhully updated. Well worth a try.

I have a similar issue, in that, I changed my PSN ID and Password when destiny 2 was released. I made this change to secure a Spanish PS + account. Since then my bungie account and profile is stuck in destiny 1. Ironically I did manage to transfer one of my destiny 1 characters across to destiny 2. However, none of my destiny 2 content and progress is being recognised by bungie and I can find no way of getting my profile updated ? Bungie does not tell you how this issue may be resolved either.

The PlayStation name change function has been tested with D1/D2 to have no impact on your Destiny account. So if you want to change the display name of your existing PlayStation account you can do so without harming your Destiny progress.
