Lag in PvP
I don’t know what happened last update when you “fixed” the menagerie guys but at the moment the amount of lag in The crucible is just truly ridiculous. Couple that with the absolute negligence that is the bounty loading glitch and I just don’t know what the heck is going on. How are the issues created by your anti fun patch not a hot fix! This is beyond a joke now.

1 ReplyIt feels like they honestly don't care about pvp we need servers so badly but they refuse. This game going free to play is going to kill itself people will more willingly DDOS in comp now and not care also the whole cheater aspect that comes with the whole free to play stuff. It's sad to see the pvp in the state it's in i really do love this game and it hurts to see how good pvp could be but never will be until they implement dedicated servers.

1 ReplyIt's just Destiny and pvp in general. I've played crucible more in d2 than d1 and even got my broad sword. This week playing on my Hunter I got matched with a team with a few Spanish players then after I played against a group of Chinese players. I live in Ireland and as far as I know China is around 5000 miles from my location and people in these forums wonder why they get lag playing crucible. I think the destiny population has dropped again and the closest people to match with me live in China ????. Also for the first time playing d1 and d2 I got kicked from a crucible match and sent to orbit just after our team took the lead in iron banner, I don't think it can be classed as lag or bad internet, I run on Sky fibre and have 70mbs, 13 latency and 0 packet loss. No point in complaining due to Bungie not giving a crap.

1 ReplyLast two games, I either did not load into the match at all, or I did, and there was literally no one in the match visible to me, including Zones, and no one could see me (unlike the current invisible bug/exploit, this was clearly a connection issue). I eventually errored out. Another match I just never even got into the flying-in part before I got rewards for a lost match that I didn't even play one second in. I suppose it could just be network manipulation on the part of the opposing team, but the connection issues to the game seem to have gotten worse since the last update.

I know you won't like this, but just try it anyway... Restart your console(hard restart to clear the cache) before any pvp, and hard restart every 4-5 games. Trust me, it helps. Bungie's messy code just gets messier every patch, and it causes cache errors. Hard restarts fix this. I know it seems ridiculous to do that so often, but it's worth it for your sanity.

There patch might have broke it, and also made people leave and take a break from the game. Which makes the matchmaking worse and more people leave the game making the matchmaking worse and worse. It is a beautiful pier to pier quality system, and all because menagerie was generous and worth playing.

2 RepliesIt seems like they turned up the SBMM portion of playing of the QP PvP. I want the game to go back to where there was the "bug" so I can have inflated stats against people that crouch walk out in the open and have no idea what they are doing so I feel good about myself. Personally.

2 RepliesWelcome to my world. That's what I get more than 50% of the time in Quickplay. It's been going on since Forsaken dropped. Lag, plus facing much better players makes Quickplay a mostly dismal experience.

I have the AT&T 1000 mbps fiber and an Open NAT. It’s not me bro 😂 I really wish they would switch to dedicated servers. This peer to peer crap is terrible!

Lag seems to get worse with every update. Rubber banding, enemy health going from a sliver back to half, and massive damage out of nowhere in PvE. PvP is full of ghost bullets, taking massive damage, getting shot around corners(imagine pre-nerf queens breaker but with every gun), instant death from grenades, no grenade visual effects until dead, dying from rockets that you don't see fired and explode after death, and can't dodge Jotunn because I don't see the fireball. I have played on 3 different Xboxes, 3 different TV's all on game mode, turned off 4k and HDR, connected a 1ms gaming monitor, cat 6a wired connection trying different wires, different high-end cable modems/high-end routers, updated connection to 200/12, reduced bufferbloat to A-/B+, tried directly wired to modem, and played with WiFi disabled and no other devices running. Only thing I can't do is switch carriers. Other games play just fine. Destiny on console plays horribly. I had to get an external SSD just to deal with load times.

i noticed that. usually my internet isn't like god tier but its not THAT bad. sometimes i literally can't even hit people because it won't register my shots from the lag
