Raid Groups "KWTD" are Toxic

I honestly think it's dumb how people want everyone to know what to do when it comes to raids. There is no patience anymore and it's annoying when you get into a raid and do everything and you don't really know how to do a certain part and you're kicked immediately. People need to chill and understand there is a reason there is an abundance of people who don't raid because they get kicked or not even an opportunity to raid. I know people will say that's why we have guided games but matchmaking can take up to an hour and it's boring when people find groups in forums immediately. And even if you find a group they can still be toxic and just not raid. Also people who don't raid because they are inexperienced watch raid guides so we know but when you join and ask if you've done the raid and you say you seen videos and you have a general idea, they just kick you. It's stupid an people need to understand that many people want to raid but we cant because of blueberries who don't want to give a little time to help.

  • In the time you wrote this worthless excuse for a post you could have made your own lfg post with your own requirements or waited until someone else did it for you. I’m tired of seeing people complaining about this shit as if there’s nobody out there who will do raids with new players. I think the issue here is that you want to be carried through the raid and want everybody to carry you and -blam!- them if they just want to do the raid quick and easy with people who know what they are doing. Because if you dont to be carried through the raid then you’d obviously just make your own lfg post or wait for one where you meet the requirements instead of complaining about a non issue on the forums.

  • Isn't that your own fault for joining a group who ask for experience?

  • If they are asking KWTD it means they don’t have the time to Sherpa someone This is not toxic

  • This is why only a handful of people Raid and why Bungie should stop wasting resources on it.

    • People are not obliged to carry you through a raid if you don't know what you are doing. And why would you join a post that says they want people that know what to do, if you don't know what you are doing. Making your own post or finding one what is willing to help or teach is your best bet, and mabey look up a guide so you have some context about an encounter. Many groups just want to blitz through raids as quick as possible and you can't blame them seeing that the drop chance for the exotics are horrible. So spending hours teaching someone an entire raid is not something they are willing to do.

    • 1. Make your own post and ask for sherpas or other first timers. 2. It's frustrating to not be able to find a group for a raid but it's even more frustrating when what should be a 30min raid turns into a 4hr session because one guy hasn't done the raid before and won't listen to what people tell them

      • I lost interest in doing raids not because of the KWTD junk nor the corrosive dudes, but it doesn't feel that rewarding to do them. I'm just sharing my POV on D2 raids... Don't let my post impede your motivation to do raids.

Yeah, not everyone wants to carry people or have enough free time to show people what to do, if you've never taught anyone, it can be a slow painful experience that never ends. Maybe you can learn how to do a raid from watching videos and then carry full teams of noobs. I'm sure you'd enjoy it. I've helped people thru raids, it's very rewarding, but sometimes you just want to finish it fast and do something else.

          • If you join raids not knowing what to do and expecting others to waste their time teaching you then you are the toxic one. What a plot twist.

            • Until Bungo actually recognizes that 9.6% Leviathan and 2.9% Last Wish (Forsaken owners) is abysmal and that their punting on social features plays a major role in that, this atmosphere around raiding will continue. Note: The above numbers are for PSN.

            • it's real simple bro , DKWTD spend 20 hours in a raid. KWTD spend and hour or less i blame bungie , raids on the bottom of player activity for a reason. They suck.

            • Because people who don’t know how to do raids expect to be treated with the highest respect. If you have little to no clue to whats going tell the team and expect to get treated like it lol. You can’t blame anyone else for not doing your homework. Its not toxic, its just a matter of time. There are groups willing to sherpa, but for the love of god people want to get the raid done.

            • I create and join KWTD, must have 10+ teams because 9/10 time you can run them around the 30min mark and its expected that everyone knows and has done every job role in it. That said I have done many a sherpa run, joined 1st timers, hosted clan guided and when I do I fully expect to be in them for 2hrs. There are alot of people in the same boat as you but it seems that all want a ready made fireteam to guide them on each step, and sometimes it's possible that you will get that but why not look for 5 others in your time zone who have never done it and learn the mechanics (it's not like you have to work them out)
I once did a guided game with 1 blueberry EoW when it 1st came out 10hours later he still couldn't follow what was going on and gave up
Now they are toxic little shithead

              • If you want to learn then do everything you can to prepare and then create your own post. A kwtd post is normally from someone who doesn’t have much time to play, maybe they just got home from work or school and they don’t have much time. These people just want to finish the raid quick without the frustration of having to teach someone the raid.

You can't really get mad at people for kicking you from a group when you don't meet the requirements. If I get a coding job and I don't know how to code, I shouldn't be surprised if I get canned.
People need to chill and understand there is a reason there is an abundance of people who don't raid because they get kicked or not even an opportunity to raid.
Easy fix, make your own group. If you make your own group you can make your own rules.
I know people will say that's why we have guided games but matchmaking can take up to an hour and it's boring when people find groups in forums immediately. And even if you find a group they can still be toxic and just not raid.
So make a group and ask for a sherpa, or get a group that hasn't done it and figure it out. Your general idea will lead to general mistakes. Your entire post comes across less as someone who wants to raid, and more as someone who wants all the success without putting in any of the work. It's unfortunate, but the sad truth is that nobody owes you anything, people choose to help people, and you can't get upset because people don't want to help you. I would, but I'm a crummy teacher. You want to raid so badly, get a group of blueberries and get in there and figure it out. Then each of you can go teach another blueberry.

                • For most people/teams, kwtd doesn't mean have a shit load of clears and know every little detail about the raid, it means have watched a few videos of the raid, have a basic understanding of how everything works, and we'll help you from there. Yes there are the teams that demand you know everything, but not everyone on lfg is like that. It also depends on how people are feeling and/or how much time they have. I don't mind teaching someone how to do a raid, however I don't have all the time in the world. If I'm simply looking for a quick run I'll title my lfg post with kwtd, if I know I have time on my hands, I don't care who joins my posts, I'll be happy to teach. If you're looking to learn a raid, you should make your own post. I wouldn't advise joining somebody else's, as you don't know how they would treat someone who isn't that experienced. Make an lfg post and say that you're looking to learn 'x' raid. There are lots of sherpas out there willing to teach. Sure your first last wish may take over 6 hours, but it's definitely worth learning how to do all the encounters, as then you'll be able to join those "kwtd quick run" posts and you'll be knocking out raids like it's the back of your hand. There's a first time for everyone when it comes to raiding. We were all inexperienced and clueless at one point. We all took the time to learn the encounters so we could do the raids without sherpas. My biggest tip would be not to give up, find a dedicated group who is willing to teach, and take the time to learn each raid's encounters.

                • People will do the raid with you, just make it clear that you need coaching. Most of those kwtd people only become toxic when they’re trying to get the raid done quickly and somebody lied about their experience.

                  • If you don't KWTD, then start your own LFG group and don't hold that requirement. Or, watch a video and learn what you're supposed to do. LFG groups that say KWTD simply want a fast clean run, it's not that big of a deal

                  • I have rarely experienced any toxic players, a few that were annoying but rarely toxic players. Also while some people apparently get kicked in KWTD raids, I have never had this happen unless we are failing constantly because of one person and they won't admit they are stuffing up. Other than that, I have joined KWTD runs that have turned into Sherpa runs. Most the community is pretty good, just a few bad eggs.
