Fix competitive matchmaking now!
Play comp today lost 10 games in a row to Luna’s howl wardcliff and dust rock. The kicker I’m at 1200 glory get out of here

It’s not just comp it’s PvP as a whole. P2P connection is a joke. One game everything is working right and you can get 20-30ish kills next game some random players are taking headshots and can’t even get their shields down, they eat heavy and walk through supers and you get 6 kills. There’s no way you can have a game with 2.0k/d and the next game have .30k/d. It’s just a frickin mess. Besides that yes you should not be getting matched at that level against whole teams of sweaty players who are obviously gods.

Well in comp you use meta, ur goal is to win, in QP it's different, but comp if ur goal is to win and people who are winning use that and u don't that might be the problem...

Played my first 4 matches of comp last night, I'll never be queing again. Total dumpster fire. Don't mind losing I expected that but to be matched with people that already have all the Pinnacle weapons is horse shit. I thought I might try and see if it was worth the time to grind one before Shadow comes out but crucible is a complete joke outside of iron banner and that is only worth doing for the gear.

3 RepliesEdited by BaconCola: 7/23/2019 7:31:54 PMRemember when people complained about D1 Matchmaking a few years ago, Bungie answered "we practically invented matchmaking, we know what we are doing" Seems the arrogance came back to bite them in the butt. This matchmaking lacks all the basics, probably because not enough people are playing and on top of that they made crazy stupid mistakes. It is not hard work to prevent uneven matches or make sure that 6 players don't end up 4 vs 2. They set priority to full fire team and not even fire teams. That can't be that hard to fix :D Clearly a good player can cope with most of the short comings, an average player is losing his mind when 6 people get spawned into a match and end up 4 vs 2 and not 3 vs 3. Players quitting get away too easy, I'd cut all their resources in half for repeated quitting, I would bring in replacements with the rule that a replacement player cannot lose points. I would deduct kill score to the point subtraction to keep the match interesting, reduce the damage because everyone knows when their blueberries run into 3 different directions at count down that this won't be a good match.

Ehh, I just happen to always join a 3v4 match. That's the actual broken part of comp

1 ReplyThe opponent's weapons aren't the issue. Play the meta. Go farm meta weapons if you need to do so. Everything you need to compete in the energy and primary slot is easy to farm in Menagerie or the Forges (Bygones is really cool too, but you don't have to have one). There are not so hard exotic quests to get TLW and Truth if you want those. Play meta and play with a positive attitude. You can do this.

It has nothing to do with competitive else there wouldn’t be season resets and a 5500 point cap. It all has to do with making it impossible for players to get the pinnacle weapons.

10 loss streak: In poker this would be called going “Full Tilt” I’m not bashing you. You have 7 weeks left. You can’t get ahead with a 10 game loss. You’re only getting frustrated and hurting your chances. I just played 4 matches. Won 2, lost 1, won 1, quit. I’m done for the week in competitive. I’ve played that way all season. Minimum of 3 games, play until a loss. I’ll have the mountaintop next reset. My buddy is about 1850 and he’s also waiting for the reset to get 120 points. Then he’ll try for a win next week. [u]You have to look at competitive mathematically to get ahead with your points [/u] Also, I’m only average at competitive. I just figure out the math to get ahead every reset.

Well I was on an other account at 1500 yesterday I only got matched again once again a Luna user. You just got unlucky I guess. Just use service revolver or last word I mean someone with a Luna... It doesn't mean it's a god and this gun is way too easy to counter now. Service revolver is almost like a not nerf not forgotten.

I got mine after 3 days and 14hrs of grinding, trying to go for lunas before season ends. If i cant get it before then since ive already hit 2100 this season the quest will be deleted and forgotten.

Still don't understand ? Bungie WANT a broken matchmaking / unbalanced game. Remember how long they need to fix spectral blade ? How many weeks before they fix LOW ? How many time have you ended a comp (really a SBMM ?) whith k/d TEN TIME higher in the opposite team ? For the whole team ?

8 RepliesDon’t usually play crucible but I’m at a point where I wanted a change of scenery and thought I’d go for Recluse. Out of 13 matches, won two, and I’m still at 0 glory. Yeah, something is wrong. Not only did it break my will to try, it has ended up causing me to not play the game as much. Which in turn hurts playtime for Bungie.
