That's the damn truth too.
Crucible is in absolute shambles. Comp is just a joke right now and all this could be fixed by running dedicated servers. Give me the option to pay a monthly subscription fee. I will. I hate the current state of the crucible so much right now that if you waved a $10 subscription fee at me to guarantee me a fair match in comp I'd take it.
If PVE is going to be your sole focus moving forward just remove PvP all together.
Whatever the decision is, make it, because PvP right now is really, REALLY un-enjoyable.

15 RepliesNo. Never. I’d drop this franchise faster then a baby bird outta a nest. I’m not paying a monthly fee for anything. I already hate that I have to pay $60 a year for online access. I’m not made of money, and subscriptions are a sure fire way to get me (and most likely many others) to stop playing all together.
-
Same. But first theyd have to even out the classes in pvp. #hunternerf Id pay 20 bucks a month for that.
-
2 Repliesi'll pay a monthly fee so that they remove PvP entirely and all the cancerous sweaty players with it, and stop nerfing PvE because something is "too OP in crucible"
-
11 RepliesEdited by TheArtist: 7/23/2019 1:54:27 PMI would as well. But that ship, I'm afraid, has sailed. You'd never get this community to pay a monthy sub fee at this point. See below....

1 ReplyEdited by Collins9875: 7/23/2019 3:19:48 PMWhy pay Bungie for something they should be doing for free. Especially you guys on console that are already paying a monthly/yearly fee just for the privilege to get online and play.
-
1 ReplyNope. This isn't the biggest issue right now. Region locking would make a much bigger difference (and would be way cheaper). If the crucible isn't going to balanced properly, and I'm still able to connect to people in Australia while in central Illinois my experience will not be noticibly improved
-
If it's implemented like Battlefield 3/4 then fine. Where it's free but if you rent a server then you can pick the map/game mode rotation for that server.

1 ReplyEdited by Zoidberg: 7/23/2019 6:14:38 PMNooooooooooo. Do not encourage monthly fees. This style of monetization is as toxic as loot boxes. If they want a dollar, sure. But let's look at one of the biggest subscription games. FF15 is 12.99 a month with 6 million users. That is almost a billion a year. This is insane! Crazy that this isn't viewed as negative as loot boxes. So please don't encourage this.
-
2 RepliesWhen a Bungie employee posts to the forum to see the reaction to monetization.
-
You already pay one and should be getting it to begin with.
-
-
A monthly fee to play multiplayer. So if you're on console you pay Your internet bill PSN/XBLG And destiny. Paying for PSN and XBL is already a scam, that's just worse
-
3 RepliesYeah - no. This started as a console game. Maybe PC players are used to that pricing scheme, but most of the players of D2 are on consoles and that group would simply stop playing. Besides - Bungie is going in the opposite direction - FREE TO PLAY. No way they'd start a subscription service now.
-
I’m not there yet. But I’m extremely close to the opinion that pvp doesn’t belong in destiny.
-
3 RepliesThough i agree this game needs dedicated servers for pvp and region locking for comp ill be damned if im paying bungie a monthly fee to play. To hell with that, id just unistall and find another game
-
It still won't help how broken crucible actually is.
-
Borderlands did this very successfully, those who wanted to play on a dedicated server could and paid 5$ per month or something. I would def pay to have dedicated servers to use and leave behind those who choose to continue to play as bungie has set out. I do think that if a person wants to have access to a dedicated server they hsoul dhave to meet minimum internet standards and a maximum ping limit as well. We don't need to screw up the dedicated servers with 180 ping 14400 baud modems lol.
-
4 RepliesWe shouldn't need to pay even a dime for dedicated servers. It's a standard in today's PvP shooters (i.e. Overwatch, CS:GO, Fortnite, etc.). If there really are 1 million active players, shouldn't Bungie have PLENTY of money for servers, especially with the boost from Eververse?
-
We shouldn't have to pay more for it. A lot of us that been D1 fans have spent well over $200-400 dollars on this game since it's release. Bungie should do a stand alone, pvp game that is free to play, that has dedicated servers with the option to buy items just like all the other pvp free to play games out there. People will spend their $10-20 bucks to play the game. Hell, they might spend $100 by the time 12 months passes as long as there is enough content. But I see it as the only way for the pvp experience to be better in destiny. I think if they done trials, 6v6, comp, rumble and a battle royal stand alone. I think there would be enough content there to keep people excited and entertained. Also, what you unlock on the pvp standalone can be imported to your pve experience in destiny. Giving people more rewards. But, we are dealing with bungie and that concept might be too hard for them to think about or do. Plus they are cheap asses and will stick with a p2p shit experience even if a million people a month were giving them $10 bucks.

Get good
-
Problem is the amount of money you few PvP guys would have to pay because the mode is so lowly played would be astronomical.
-
2 RepliesOr we could get them because it's 2019 and lol at a serious company not having them.
-
For PvE yes PvP NO
-
1 ReplyNo. If bungie introduces a monthly fee I and several others will quit playing. I pay enough just from buying the DLCs.
-
Fk no you’re basically giving the idea of monetizing the game. Wtf no don’t ever mention this again wtf were you thinking if EA gets their hands on this
-
But you’re already paying money to play on potato servers. (PS+ required for online play) Giving them more money gonna make a difference?
