Raid mechanics/difficulty

Basically what I’d like to see in the raids is essentially less mechanics. I’m not saying make it easier rather make it harder to stay alive. Have hoards and hoards of adds, increase boss AI intelligence, abilities and aggression or something along those lines. I’ve fallen out of wanting to raid because of the mechanics that I don’t think suit the looter shooter ideology. I don’t think I’m alone in this and I’m not saying I’ve got the answers but I think moving forward the game should aim away from the get a buff, dunk or pass an orb etc at least at the final stages of the raid. Thoughts? Edit: I also think this will aid in bringing more of the player base into the raids as more people will be willing to participate knowing they aren’t going to cause team wipes after wipes if they die because they struggle to understand what’s required for the mechanics during an encounter.

  • I think crown of sorrows is incredibly easy, but just requires full-team understanding rather than a couple complex mechanics that only 2-3 people have to understand (like last wish). Most of the complicated stuff can truly be done by just a few people in the fire team. Mechanics make raids raids, otherwise, what sets it above the strikes? It’s what VoG was to me.
