When they had fewer mechanics people moaned they wanted more.

These are different people. Some want more mechanics, some want less.

Yes, I understand that. Nowhere did I say it was the same people. It just shows though how Bungie just can't win, regardless of what they do there will be a group of people moaning.

The happiest audience is in niche games with very limited features (like visual novels). That's why Bingie's victory is defined by how much money they make, not by how little "moaning" they hear.
