Basically what I’d like to see in the raids is essentially less mechanics. I’m not saying make it easier rather make it harder to stay alive. Have hoards and hoards of adds, increase boss AI intelligence, abilities and aggression or something along those lines. I’ve fallen out of wanting to raid because of the mechanics that I don’t think suit the looter shooter ideology.
I don’t think I’m alone in this and I’m not saying I’ve got the answers but I think moving forward the game should aim away from the get a buff, dunk or pass an orb etc at least at the final stages of the raid.
Thoughts?
Edit: I also think this will aid in bringing more of the player base into the raids as more people will be willing to participate knowing they aren’t going to cause team wipes after wipes if they die because they struggle to understand what’s required for the mechanics during an encounter.

The extreme intensity of the adds and the heavy mechanics make it the hardest raid in D2, it's also why I love the raid. D1 lacked heavy mechanics in most of the raids, which is what made them much easier than D2 raids (with the exception of king's fall, the only raid to feature intense mechanics that required almost flawless execution) I personally enjoy the heavy mechanics in D2 raids. Sure wrath of the machine and vault of glass are enjoyable, I feel they're just to simplistic. Crota doesn't count as a raid.
