Basically what I’d like to see in the raids is essentially less mechanics. I’m not saying make it easier rather make it harder to stay alive. Have hoards and hoards of adds, increase boss AI intelligence, abilities and aggression or something along those lines. I’ve fallen out of wanting to raid because of the mechanics that I don’t think suit the looter shooter ideology.
I don’t think I’m alone in this and I’m not saying I’ve got the answers but I think moving forward the game should aim away from the get a buff, dunk or pass an orb etc at least at the final stages of the raid.
Thoughts?
Edit: I also think this will aid in bringing more of the player base into the raids as more people will be willing to participate knowing they aren’t going to cause team wipes after wipes if they die because they struggle to understand what’s required for the mechanics during an encounter.

Wrath of the machine was the best raid in all of destiny for this reason. There were mechanics but also simple combat as well. It was a great balance. Why are we even trying to get better gear and better weapons if the amount of damage we can take/give out is irrelevant. I know for a fact you can beat both leviathan and Eater of Worlds with white gear and weapons if you have perfect mechanics. That’s just dumb.
