Is the Broadsword worth the grind?
Im at the step where I need to complete 25 matches of everything and I’ve already reset my rank once or twice this season. I need about 17 or 18 more rumble matches until I move on. Is the weapon really worth the grind?
Edit: Wow this blew up. I’ll play some crucible this double valor week and see how it goes.

Definitely worth it. Amazing gun. Yes somewhat overshadowed by a kill clip BF/Bygones but once that Desperado is going you can just melt your way through the opposing team. It's great in pve too. Get it done 😎

I don’t think it’s something you should dump all of your time into like I did, where I did most of the steps within a week. I do recommend at least passively completing the steps over time though, it’s a pretty great weapon in pve and once you get the perk going in pvp it’s a monster that easily rivals any of the current meta weapons I’d say.

No. It’s decent enough in PVE but is severely lacking overall. Do it if you enjoy pvp but don’t get your hopes up on it being very good.

I like it. Its not all that. 3 shots to kill a guardian if you land all crit. The rate of fire isnt good enough to compete with outbreak.

Ok, so...it depends. In pve absolutely. In PvP it takes some practice. But, if you can master it....oh my Lord it's absolutely nasty. I got an undefeated we ran with mine in a match recently. 39 kda. I...I love my redrix.

IMO [b]Nope[/b] In PvP It’s highly situational, the perk barely lasts a few seconds, without the perk it’s just basic....and if you’re already good enough to prove the perk & chain kill after kill, then you can do that with a HC/Blast Furnace/Outbreak etc anyways And it has TERRIBLE bulky sights!

In comparison to grind effort, not really. First of all it gets outranged by too many pulses and even hand cannons easily. It has just terrible sight visually blocking your view when you ADS. Its perk is highly situational and last only few seconds. It is hard to control the gun during it. If you are PvP god, you will find much enjoyable and better options to slay people. If not, you will probably just hate it. This gun has high skill curve to be effective.

Depends if you want to do 5 valor resets in one season. If you don't want to do that, probably skip this one.

You can carry desperado to the other side of the map. It's good, but without the perk active it's meh.

It's pretty good. Just be patient and wait for the inevitable high impact Pulse Rifle buff that'll put Redrix's over the edge.

I'm on the same quest. The only thing that annoys me is the 5 resets. Good or bad, I still want to get the weapon. I've reset twice already, might as well do the other 3 while I have time.

-- speaking as a player who had Claymore and didn't need to do the quest to get Broadsword take this with a grain of salt -- I think it's worth it. It really is a good gun, is it the best? No. But with other primary guns like recluse running around in PvE its hard for anything else to beat it. I will say Redrix is one of the better long range options for PvE but a Rampage spec'd + feeding frenzy Blast Furnace can fill that role too. As for pvp its still good, pretty darn fast time to kill and plenty of oppertunities to proc the perk in quickplay and chain it into more kills, not so much in comp. Its really up to you on this one, if you like another pulse better then use that.
