Its interesting to see some of the posts on the forums supporting Bungie's decision about the tribute hall cheese. I admit to cheesing it myself but that's not why i'm disappointed in this wave of support for Bungie's decision. I don't mind losing the catalyst or the emote. If i'm honest i've never really been a big fan of the gun so if they took that away i wouldn't be that bothered either.
However, as some of my fellow posters have stated in other current discussions, it is interesting that only a week or 2 ago the forums were flooded with people complaining about Bungie fixing the menagerie cheese but now the community 'supports' bungie taking away cheesed rewards.
Destiny has always had exploits: gatekeeper and aetheon being pushed off, dark below's bridge cheese and crota being stuck down on one knee, the list goes on.
I'm guilty of using some of them, others i have completed legit, but i've never held it against those who've done all of them or felt they should get any of their items removed.
I get that games evolve over time (to a degree) and with that so do the game's communities. That being said, it will be interesting to see if this 'support' carries on into the future when the cheeses are found early enough for EVERYONE to take advantage or if it'll conveniently swing back to exploits being 'acceptable'. Time will tell i guess.

14 RepliesThe chest exploit simply allowed you to spend runes faster to claim your rewards. Tribute Hall allows players to claim rewards while bypassing the SUBSTANTIAL material cost without any discounts. See where the difference lies?
